The park is under new management, and they are working hard on improvements. The staff is very friendly and helpful and even helped me make some repairs on my rig. The park is located at the head of the River Road which is said to be the most scenic drive in Texas, and my wife and I agree. It is only a 30 minute drive from the headquarters of Big Bend National park and just down the road from the HQ for Big Bend State Park. We would recommend this park to anyone but would suggest early Spring when all of the flowers are in full bloom. They have a very nice pool also!
Very nice park. Park employees were very friendly and very helpful. For Estes Park this is a very reasonably priced park. The pull through sites were plenty big for my 40' Class "A" rig Good fishing in Mary's Lake right next door. I would recommend this park
Excellent park with a beautiful view of the river and the Little Rock skyline at night. Excellent location for exploring Little Rock and the surrounding area. The staff will go above and beyond the call of duty to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. I highly recommend this park to anyone staying in the area.
I will recommend this resort very highly to anyone visiting the Rapid City area. All points of Interest are easily accessible from there. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and all amenities are excellent. Very big rig friendly.
Very nice park but it needs work before it is big rig friendly. Most roads need trees trimmed in order for large 5th wheels and Class A motor homes to get in and out. We had to do some very tight and complicated maneuvers in order to get out without tearing up our rigs. The staff is very friendly and helpful except when it came to trimming. We requested a couple days before to get the trees trimmed so we could get out but they would not do it and we had to do the afore mentioned maneuvers in order to get out. It is a great place for smaller rigs 36' or shorter. If they would trim the trees and make the roads clearance better I would readily recommend this park but, until they do, big rigs be very careful!!
The management was not very friendly nor understanding. The park is not big rig friendly even though they say it is. They had to use a pole to raise a telephone line in order for me to get in and there is not very much room to maneuver around for big rigs. They told me once I got there that the only place my 40' Class A would fit was an overflow spot with water and elect. only @ $35 a night. If they would have told me that when I made the reservations I would have made other arrangements. When I questioned them on this they told me to leave immediately and not to come back. Believe me I will not return and do not recommend anyone to stay there. In order to go to town, closest of which is 13 miles, Estes Park, is over a very narrow and winding mountain road. 13 miles 30 to 45 minutes.
This is the nicest Core Of Engineers Campground I have ever been in. They have just finished reworking all of the sites and have done a wonderful job with very level concrete pads and our site had a wooden deck overlooking the lake. Any one visiting this COE campground should visit Helen, Ga, as this is a wonderful town fashioned after a small Bavarian Village.
The sites are gravel and could use some leveling work. There are 5 or 6 pull through sites that can handle rigs >35 feet the rest are <35. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice park and cavern attached.
Small park, but very nice. The sites are gravel but level and hookups are convenient. Staff was very friendly and there are a couple of local celebrities that stay in the park. Shirley, who found the Strawn-Wagner Diamond stays there. Nice catch and release pond across the road.
Treasure Lake is an excellent park. They have started reworking their sites with stone support walls and concrete pads. Great service, friendly staff and security in park at all times. Located just off the Show Blvd with quick access to all the shows and only 15 or 20 minutes from Silver Dollar City. I am returning there next year.
