We have been here several times and find this KOA to be consistently excellent. The big pillow bounce for the kids is great. The owners are friendly and have done a good job in keeping everything clean and up to current expectations. Some of the sites are a little small for big rigs but some help from the owner got us in with no problems. We would continue to come to this park in the future.
Our site was narrow enough that we had to position the slideout carefully between a tree and the service post. Many of the sites are set up so that you are arranged door-side to door-side, resulting in a lack of privacy. It took two days to get rid of a bad barking dogs situation The shuttle service to the waterpark worked out very well. This is a good place to go if you have kids. Prepare to bring extra money as in-the-park activities are not included in your site fee.
We recommend this campground for several reasons. The area is beautiful with both historical and nature-type activities available. Besides that, the owners of this campground are the most friendly and personable people you could meet. They were very helpful to our group of 11 rigs. One person has a medical emergency and another a mechanical emergency. The owners stepped up both times, immediately to assist. They also set up a tent for our group to enjoy shade for pot-lucks, without our even asking them to do so. We will return for sure.
