Park was flooded Oct 31, 2013. Check status before going. Until the flood, this was a beautiful park, in a quiet river front setting. Most sites are shaded and all have lots of room for big rigs. The owners were very attentive to detail and were in the process of implementing many improvements throughout the park. We sincerely hope they are able to rebuild, as we would very much like to revisit this wonderful spot. We did get to enjoy it for 2 weeks, and we were among the lucky ones who got their rigs out in time. Our heartfelt condolences go out to those who lost their campers or possessions. Fortunately, no one was injured.
We only stayed 1 night, but we will return some day for a longer visit. The park is very large and most of the sites are well spaced out. Some have shade. Ours (70' pull thru) had a little patio area with a pergola above and rocking chairs. It's very peaceful here, as it is far enough from the interstate to limit the traffic noise. Staff are very friendly and everything is well maintained. Even though there is not much to do in the area, plan to stay a few days here if you can. It's a great place to relax.
We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at this park (just passing through Roswell). The park is small but everything fits. We had no issues parking a 40' coach. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and everything is spotless. We would stay here again.
We stayed here as staging stop prior to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta (rate reflects Balloon Fiesta prices). It's a beautiful park in a desert setting, although it is tightly packed (sites are very close together). If I was coming back to Santa Fe I would stay here again.
This is our go to park when crossing the border to or from Canada - third time here. It's convenient to the highway and easy to get in and out of. Pull through sites are easily big enough for a big rig with a toad. As usual, we only stayed the one night, and didn't use any of the park services other than the site hookups.
Okay place for an overnight stay, but not too much more to recommend it. Sites are large and flat, but very open and exposed. It is quiet, even with many long term residents. Getting in and out is tricky with a big rig.
We only stayed the one night, but would definitely consider staying longer next time we are through this area. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. We didn't use any of the facilities ourselves, but from what we saw this is a very well maintained park. Large spacious sites in a beautiful setting. Far enough from the highway that there is no noise.
Okay place to spend a couple of days while we got the rig ready for travel, but it is not a place I would stay for long. Too much like a trailer park. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities we saw were clean. Security guys are everywhere - felt very safe here. Not much in the area, at least nothing you can walk to. A car or truck is a must.
We chose Living Forest as our home for an extended stay (May-Oct) in the mid-Island area. Nothing around compared to this place. Our site is well treed, quiet, well away from neighbors. We were looking for a quiet forest location, and we sure found it here. There are many sites that will easily take a big-rig, like our 40 footer. We have lots of room on the lot and a fire pit! It's been a great summer here! There are sites here with ocean views, but not ocean side. Those are more tightly packed and much noisier on weekends. There are also good tent sites and a group camp. Internet service (Wi-Fi) is Tengo - low speed and so-so coverage. There is a charge for it. There is lots to see and do in the area. Groceries and other shops very close by. Wife and I highly recommend this place. We are booked back in for a few months next year.
