We're getting back in to camping after a couple years hiatus and this was our first stay here in our new to us Motorhome. This is a fantastic campground. Clean, nicely spaced sites, cable, wifi, on the lake with great fishing and in High Point with close proximity to great shopping and restaurants. Only draw back I can say about this place is that they do not take any reservations. Which means if you are not local, it's a shot in the dark and hope you get a spot. Luckily, we are local :)
Great overnight park, convenient from I-65 yet far enough off the interstate for a quiet sleep. Plus, Flying J is at this exit with fuel for the truck and stomach. This park doesn't have great amenities, but it's clean, safe and friendly staff, we'll stay here again when passing through - no doubt.
I would rate the CG higher if there were more amenities - but hey, for $20 I can't complain too awful much. We stayed in the RV Road area (newer section) which is nothing more than a paved road with gravel sites. There are not facilities at this section (bathhouse), that didn't bother us.
Excellent park... nice/level/concrete sites. We just over night here, so we didn't use any of the amenities, but the park looked great. It was clean and easy to get in/out of with plenty of space at the site.
Nice park, well laid out. Some sites are tight and some are enormous. Pluses: They have a nice playground and pool. Bath houses are nice (individual bathrooms with sink, toilet and shower) and cleaned regularly. Interior road are nice. Downers: The shower stalls are small. Some of the turns are tight. WiFi is not free and is not dependable. I was luckily to get 'dial up' connection speeds. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be back.
This is a nice a campground, but is aging. The interior roads are full of pot holes. The shower stalls are small, but clean. They do not have cable connections, but they do have free Wi-Fi. We would not hesitate to stay again.
This was our second time staying at this park. Although I feel it's a bit on the high priced side, we love this park. One of the cleanest and nicest parks we've stayed in. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a 10 is that most sites are a bit small.
We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The sites are nice sized, but the creek side ones could be a bit deeper. The pool was nice and clean, and they even have a jacuzzi. There is a off leash dog area next to the pool. The bathrooms/showers were nice and clean, and the showers had actual doors (not curtains)and a dry dressing area. Each site had a fire ring with a flip over grill. The interior roads were in great condition. I think our only complaint was the space between our site and the next was completely graveled - it would be nice to have more grass areas. This is definitely a campground we'll return to.
We stayed here on a 'free preview' weekend and listened to the sales pitch. This is a nice cg but we did have some issues. First was it's close proximity to I-95 - we had a tough time sleeping with all of the interstate noise. Second was a few teens that were zipping around on golf carts - we have small children and were concerned with their safety. Last - this is the first cg we've been to where we had something stolen from (clothing of all things) - not really the cg's fault, but they didn't seem very concerned with the thievery. The cg was clean and had some nice low level lighting at night - which some may not like. The bathrooms were clean, but no shower curtain and no dry place to get dressed once out of the shower. Small play ground for the kids and putt putt. Interior roads and the sites were all packed sand. The pool area was nice - pool was supposed to be heated, but they were having issues. Teh lazy river looked nice, but was closed due to issues. They are also building a new, larger pool right next to the existing one. Boat slips and dock, provided fishing platform for Lake Marion. The also had a small catch & release pond that was stocked. All in all, it was a good cg. We didn't buy and we're not c2c members, so we won't be back. This is a great CG for I-95 travelers needing a stop over.
This is a great CG! About the only thing I can complain about is that the roads are not paved. It's a private CG and in the Coast to Coast network. We were staying here on a 'free' weekend as a gift. They have a great playground for the kids. The pool, although cold, was open and clean. Hot tub was nice and HOT! Paddle boats on the lake and putt putt golfing. Private bathrooms (sink, toilet and shower in a single private room). This is definitely one of our top 10 favorite CG's!
We throughly enjoyed our stay here, it was nice and relaxing. Nice beach on Lake Erie, but not like the ocean - the beach is covered with rocks and a little bit of sand. They have a great playground that the kids enjoyed. All of the sites are grass and the interior roads are dirt/gravel. There is a fire ring and a picnic table at each site. We had a Wi-Fi signal for 2 days, then we couldn't get it back. This is a pretty "remotely" located CG - the nearest grocery store is about a 30 minute drive away.
We spent 3 nights in an "electric only" site here while we visited Cedar Point Amusement Park. I thought, "Wow, $60 per night for electric only"? But in retrospect it was worth it for the convenience in accessing the park and early ride times. My only complaint is that the staff were not the friendliest - we were rushed thru at check-in and no one told us where to fill our fresh water.
We went for a free weekend to "preview" the campground and had to attend a sales presentation. So first, I think it is fair to say we did not buy - not because we didn't like the CG, but because it was out of our budget. The sales staff were friendly and there was no pressure - we listen to their offer and simply said no, and they were OK with that. Now for the CG itself - we enjoyed our stay and the CG was nice. There a lot of amenities for kids and adults and they have many "themed" weekends. While we were there, they had a poker tournament and live band for entertainment. They have 2 nice and enjoyable (for the kids) playgrounds, a "recreation" room for the kids and "adult only" rooms for some non-kid time. There is also a stocked lake for fishing, and canoes and paddle boats to use for free. The interior roads and camping areas are all gravel and they have no sewer hook-ups. The area is all sand and pine trees. We are rating this CG an 8, only because of the lack of sewer hookups, gravel roads and no concrete pads. Otherwise, it was an outstanding CG.
This place is everything everyone says it is - this was our first stay and we had high expectations from Disney; they were met! You could stay here and not visit a single attraction and it would be worth the money.
This is a nice, overlooked, campground just minutes to Bradenton Beach. Just a short drive across the bridge and there is plenty of public parking. We enjoyed our stay and the staff/management we polite and courteous. Since we were there on the 4th of July, there was a CG provided cookout that included hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, drinks, and desert. Some of the sites were small and tight, but we did see several big rigs in and out without any problems. Some sites backup to a canal that leads to the Gulf - nice if you bring/rent a boat while camping. They also have canoes for rent. Pool / bathhouse / laundry / game room were all cleaned daily. Trash pick up from your site - no need to lug it to the dumpster. This is one of the few CGs we have been to that allow kids to use floats / toys in the pool. We will visit again in the future.
We love this campground. We were there for Oktoberfest and wow - what a great time. If you have not experienced this cg, then look them up. They offer something every weekend - cooking classes, art classes, food and more. Most cgs are dog tolerant - this one is dog dedicated. We are already looking at next seasons events and planning trips. 2 draw backs for the cg are gravel roads and not a lot of kid stuff. There is a small playground. Lots of stuff to do locally including Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Asheville and the Blue Ridge Pkwy are all with in a 45 mins drive.
We live close to here and have visited the National Battleground Park before, but this was our first time staying in the campground - we'll be back. Our site sloped back slightly, but with a frew boards under the tires, it leveled easily. Nice large site, but theer are many smaller/tighter sites. Some of the interior roads are a tight fit for large/tall rigs. The bathhouse was clean and acceptable. Lots of hiking/bike trails and of course the playground for the small kids. We are already plannig our trip back.
This is a great CG especially if you have dogs - sure dogs are welcome else where, but here they are more than welcome. They have 2 off-leash parks, an agility ring and an obedience ring. Plus a fishing pond and a dog/swimming pond (both are spring fed). The bath house is a one of a kind - it's divided up in to separate rooms, all with exterior doors. Inside, there is a commode, shower, and sink with mirror. You have total privacy! But the real jewel of this CG is the owners - they are just great! Activities are planned for every weekend and include art and cooking classes, eat-offs/cook-offs, andn karaoke to name a few. I just can't say enough good things about this CG.
