Park is getting a run down look. Dust from the unpaved roads, boat repair noise and paint in the air is a real problem. Wi-Fi is very slow, I imagine this is because it is not secured and most of the businesses around use it, also. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean and fresh. Overall, good park, just run down, heard many complaints about run down marina. At times it looked like the boats were dumping their black tanks in the water and it backs up in the inner corners of the marina.
I gave this campground a 7 because of convenient. It is convenient to everything. We stayed 4 nights because of tours we booked right on site. Be ready to leave before checkout or you will pay extra. The pull-thrus are close [very]. Clean park, very basic and bare. Would stay again if going to the falls. We paid extra because it was a holiday weekend.
Great little park. Very friendly owner and guests. Shady and quite with a place to fish and relax. Pull though site for the one night we stayed. Owner had already left for the day but quickly returned and guided us to our site. Very helpful. Will stay again if ever in the area again.
I give this camp a 10+10. We stayed at the wonderful campground only 1 night. I wished we could have stayed much longer. We were on the road 27 days and this was the best of the best. We camped in a 34 ft. RV. So peaceful, our site was right by the water. We roasted wieners and watched chipmunks play. Everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend this park, especially if you have children, but even if you do not you will enjoy it.
This is not only a beautiful park it is extremely clean. The river running thru the park only added to its beauty. Roomy site, Wi-Fi worked great. Maybe a little out of the way, but well worth the extra drive. I would love to stay here again.
This great park has closed as of January, 2013. We will miss the great family of friends we enjoyed so much. Such a shame, the town has lost many of its winter texans and the income they brought into this small town. Many of the snowbirds are staying at another local RV park so they can be together.
The park is in the country which is very quiet. The park overall is nice. There does not seem to be a full time manager, no one in the office, although there is a man who checks you in. He is very rude. The wifi does not work, that's a fact, according to most of the people who have been here for quite a while. The laundry area is clean. I would have gave this park a 9 except for the rude man whom I guess is in charge. We had problems with the cable and he was extremely quick tempered to the point of yelling when I asked about the wifi. The grass was mowed once in the 5 weeks we stayed there.
We have left our motorhome there for the last 5 months and drive up whenever we want. Now has cable. Managers are awesome. Owners are awesome. Very friendly park; has a smoke free room with TV, tables for card games or whatever you want to do. People gather nightly for visiting, etc. They have bring a dish gatherings and holiday get-togethers. This is the greatest park we have visited. There is great fishing, a private pier, and boat launch right outside the park. Come on down and enjoy.
