WOW! What a great campground. We camped here for a week and loved every minute. The paved bike trails were a huge hit with our kids. The Jr. Ranger program was a blast and the kids just loved playing for hours on the beach. The restroom/shower facilities were always clean and the park staff very helpful. We had such a great time we plan on making this an annual vacation.
We LOVE staying at Hood Park. We consider this our "home" campground since it is only 45 minutes from our house. Great for the quick weekend getaway. The park is a beautiful, shady oasis in the middle of the eastern Washington desert climate. Has a nice big playground area for the kids, swimming area on the Snake river, and friendly park staff. We've camped here 3 times already this summer and we'll be back.
Deschutes River is a GREAT campground. Has a brand new shower facility and restroom which was always kept very clean. The park sits right on the Deschutes river and our children had a great time swimming and building sand castles. Some of the hookup sites were very tight to back into. The lawns are watered daily making this park a beautiful green oasis in the desert landscape. Great grassy tenting area on the other side the park is perfect for larger groups. We enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure!
We stayed at Wallowa Lake SP over Memorial day weekend. Although it was still quite chilly, we had a wonderful stay. The park staff was very courteous and the restroom/shower facilities were clean. The park does get crowded on the weekends in the summer and yes there are lots of children, but that's part of the camping experience. Our three girls LOVED it, so we are headed back again for Labor Day weekend.
Great campground. Very friendly staff and clean facilities. The park is just outside the west entrance gate to Yellowstone National Park. Lots to do in the area and the little town of West Yellowstone is great! Sites are somewhat close together, but you still have a nice grassy area and plenty of room for awnings, etc. I only gave it a 9 since there is no pool for the kiddos, but other than that it's a super family friendly park. Great campground. We'll definitely stay here again!
We stayed in this park for 3 months during a job transfer and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The sites are all gravel with the only grass being found by the front office. Sites are somewhat close together but this is CA and real estate is expensive so they definitely utilized all available space. Nice, clean campground!
Great family oriented campground. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Lots to do in the Ludington area and in the campground itself. The kids had a great time fishing in stocked pond and playing on the playground. Indoor pool is a great new addition to this already wonderful campground. We'll definitely be back!!
