We just got home from Oakwood. We had a nice time. The pool needed attention, didn't swim, due to the rain. We stay here when we are in the area. The spaces are tight. The rest rooms were very clean. Front loading washers, have to get use to them (less Water) Park was filling up for the weekend. We stayed Mon-Sat. and enjoyed the town. We use this as a base-camp and go site seeing and shopping. SEE ALL YOU CAN, while there we went to see LBJ Ranch... We totally enjoyed this. You will too.

This is a very nice park and the name says it. It is midway between two towns and is in a pine forest that was planted by a government agency along time ago. As an experiment? This park is outside of Granbury, right on the highway: there is no traffic after 10pm but it starts up at 5am. We went into the town of Granbury to do some shopping, there are lots of places to get anything you might need. The weather did not co-operate with us on this trip. It was cold and raining and did not let up. We ended our trip early. We enjoyed our short stay. We will go back and stay here again.

They must have named this park E-Z Duzit for the road out in front. You must take it E-Z. We enjoyed this park very much the owners were very nice. There was a group of class A motorist that were traveling together that pulled in just after us. And the park was full. We were envious of the class A's they just push a button and they were level. We had a wonderful view of the countryside. The highway is down the hill and we heard NO noise after 10pm. We will stay here again. Enjoyed the Cafe the Koffee Kup in Hico. It is very good 12 different pies. Donuts that were like small tires on a shopping cart. Good food and nice people in all places that we stopped. Give it a try.

This is a fantastic Park. We came in on Thursday afternoon: one of the hottest days of the summer. We had no trouble finding it. We camped with 2 granddaughters ages 3& 5. Our site a pull through, was pretty roomy, we had two shade trees. There was a chili cook-off, and fund raiser for the Bluebonnet Teddy Bear Patrol. All the campers enjoyed themselves. We enjoyed ourselves too! On Sunday afternoon we had the pool and playground to ourselves. This park is very clean and the folks are so nice. We spent 4 nights. The park is located out in the country on FM 2210 it was very quiet. This park is great for a weekend getaway from the metroplex. We came from Abilene, it's not too far, for a get away for anyone. You should give this park a try. And if your curious, what is The Bluebonnet Teddy Bear Patrol? Call the lady at the Park she will give you the low down.

I love this park and have camped here all my life. It needs an update, the big restroom/shower at Willow Point is being remodeled this year. But if you want full hookup, you need to stay at Council Bluff. There is not a walking trail to get to the water, you have to drive. The only trail from the Bluff is a trail that only a goat can traverse. The need for a proper trail has never been greater. Or you can ride your bike. This park is very nice with great water and fishing, no license required in State Parks. Give it a try.

We love this park. We go to the horse races in Grand Prairie, "Lonestar Park." We are there first weekend in May. This park is about an hour from the race track but we chose it because it is out in the Metroplex area and is on our way home. The staff is very friendly, and always helpful. We do not hear the I-20 as much as some places! This time we stayed in #88 way at the back of the park. There was a large willow tree out our door. Love this place and I hope everyone cruising down I-20 will stop in take my word for it. "You'll be back!"

We stayed for 4 nights and loved it.The park was recommended by a repeat camper of the park. She spoke highly of it and we wanted to try it out. So we did!!!I loved the whole place; and the scenery surrounding us was lovely. We had a tree limb accident in another town on our way to Buckhorn did not know it until our set up there. The team in the office helped me quickly to find their repairman Chris. Inexpensive and new at stuff, he put our mind right to ease and made the repairs. I knew we were at a good place. All the staff were friendly. I loved the garbage pickup every morning. Never saw dumpsters. The pool and showers and laundry were right next to our site. The little grocery store was stocked. We did not have to leave, but on a trip to town we discovered the Lake House Fish Restaurant. Best fish this TEXAS girl ever put in her mouth. This park was wonderful and loved the stream with loads of fish. It was very relaxing there and we never heard the Interstate. It is a must go to place. You'll love it.
