This is a nice park, but the site we we were assigned (102) was problematic. Good electric, water, and sewer. Nice dog area. Bur our site was half concrete and half gravel. Leveling was impossible and our jacks developed problems while trying to level. OK park but check your site before registering.
This was a "bait and switch" experience. We went onto the web site and filled in the info about unit (35' 5th wheel) and needs (30 amp, sewer, water and no cable). Result was $35/night charge. This is what we had paid at most places on our trip but was low compared to experience at other KOA. So, 70 miles out we call to confirm and are told that there are no non-cable sites available and price is $38/night. OK, not what the web site said but still better than usual KOA. So, we arrive at 5:15 and are told that there are no 30 amp spaces available and it's $41 for the 50 amp which we do not need (the place looks). We think this is a scam but rather than fight Sacramento rush hour traffic we'll accept the "bait and switch"). We go to the site and there is a 30 amp connection available. We go to the office and they tell us "we don't trust you so even though the 30 amp is there we charge you for the 50 - take it or leave it"). Sacramento traffic! so we stayed. Last time for us with KOA. They are slime as far as we are conned.
This is a beautiful, well designed campground. Staff are friendly and facilities are clean and new. We had a spot on the water and had a great time. Lots of nice beaches. Good dune hiking just south. We will be returning. For a good lunch try the Schooner Inn and Cafe in Reedsport. A little tricky to find but worth the effort.
Not much here. We spent one night on our way up the coast. Bare minimum place but inexpensive. Watch out for the sites down around K site since drainage is poor to non-existent there. We sloshed around in ankle deep water due to heavy rains during the night.
We were here for 4 months and liked this place very much. Both the campers and the staff were very friendly. The facilities and proximity to dining/shopping were very good. The area had some very heavy rains and streets outside the campground were flooded but the campground drained pretty well. We have wireless modems. The only real complaint we had was the mailroom. They did not deliver some of our mail because the clerk " goes by name not box number. "
