Back-in spots are the best with wide space to next unit. Pull-throughs have about 30 ft of grass to next unit, with only the utility island separating on the non-door side. Still, it is a great campground with concrete pads and asphalt roads. Free shuttle to casino or sports/swim building, which is $5 extra. Kids play area. Plenty of grass for dog walking. Friendly staff at check-in.
Much nicer than a commercial site, other than no sewer hookups. Two dump stations however. Narrow 10% grade to get down to campgrounds. Hiking, biking, horseback riding (your own or guided rides). "Texas" show after June 1. Wild turkeys and deer visit your site. Clean restrooms/showers. Don't miss the gift shop in the Visitor center, or the soft-serve ice cream in the Trading post.
Core of Engineers campground, so Golden Eagle pass cuts price in half. Very nice campground with large treed sites. No WiFi. Lake access. GPS was wrong. Access is right off Hwy 6 on east side of Lake Waco.
Very large and busy campground associated with a huge RV sales and service organization, plus a large camping store, restaurant, hotel, gas station. Restrooms were in the central pool room but had sewer back-up problem. Extra bathrooms were in meeting hall available for rallies, but were closed at night. Not enough bathroom/showers for such a large campground. Laundry was good, but busy. Breakfast and simple lunch are provided at the sales office across the road if you get there on time, with shuttle service provided.
Large treed sites on gravel, convenient to both Crystal River and Homosassa Springs. Screened pool and hot tub. Would have stayed longer than 2 nights. Don't miss the Homosassa Springs State Park (no camping) which is a wildlife preserve/zoo/rehabilitation center!
Out of the way luxury resort. Most sites are sold to permanent residents, but some can be rented for the night. Beautiful park with active resident parties open to nightly guests, pool and hot tub. Many sites have water access and boat slips. Great place to relax.
Great park, reserve early! Beaches, boating, snorkeling, boat trips. Clean restrooms/showers. Would have liked to stay longer, but full. Convenient to stores and restaurants, 100 mile drive to Key West where you really don't want to be pulling a trailer. Would stay here again for more than 3 days.
Concrete pads, treed sites, but not all loops have restroom/shower facilities. Some loops noisier (600, 1400) because of bus traffic or Chip n Dale music/movies. Sites are assigned by first-come, first-served rather than pre-assigned or your choice. Bikes are helpful to get you to transportation (bus, boat).
Very friendly and helpful staff. Escorted to site. Women bathroom and showers were closed, so men and women shared men, hopefully a temporary arrangement. Enclosed dog run. Small cafe/snack bar in office.
Very nice park. Individual restrooms with showers were immaculate. Arrived after-hours and other guests were helpful with the after-hours registration process. Adjacent to golf course. Construction on the road made access more difficult. GPS directions were off by one exit. Would stay here again.
