I found this to be a good value park. A pool would have been nice, but we got by just fine without it. This is not a destination type of park. The sites are mostly gravel and level. Hookups are well situated and easy to access. Shade trees are just now starting to give shade. They are placed nicely. Access from the freeway is good. Easy in and out going eastbound or westbound. Some highway noise. Grounds are well kept and clean. We noticed security/manager going by in their carts several times while we were there.
We have stayed here in the past for an extended stay. Things were just as nice now (perhaps better) than they were on our previous stay. Sites are level, laundry is well thought out and a good bargain. Hookups are situated in a very user friendly fashion. We will be returning to this park next Feb. for an extended stay! One of the best overall parks we have visited.
For the area this is an o.k. park. For the money P.A. it is a good deal. Hookups are not very user friendly. Most are on wrong side of site. Manager not very informative nor helpful. But again for the area and for a short stay it is o.k.
We were traveling to S.D. and needed a place to stay. We called and talked with the manager. He said he was full, but to stop in and he'd see what he could do. We did and he found us a spot that was right behind what used to be a service station. It's now closed. Spot was level, clean, good hookups etc. This is not a destination type park, but you know that going in. We were tired and he did his best to make up for us not making reservations elsewhere. I would stay here again. No frills, but who needs frills when you've got pine trees and grass around you. You want frills, plan ahead!! The wifi works great from the hotel next door. There is a members only park 100 yards up the roads that people are paying lots of money to stay at. I'm breathing the same air, using the same internet for a lot less money!!!
A good value if you are looking for a 1 or 2 night stay. This is not a destination type park. The manager is friendly and the spaces are large and adequate for big rigs. No frills here. They do accept P.A. so the rate is okay for what you get. Would recommend this park if you are in the area and need a safe clean place to stay overnight. The train runs near the park, but, I kind of enjoyed the whistle from a distance. It is far enough away so that you don't hear the rumble. Hookups were placed well and the sites were level with lots of shade and gravel. Lots of areas to walk a pet.
Very, very nice park. Whoever set up the RV hookups knew what they were doing. The water bib was not near the septic hookup. Nice clean LEVEL sites. Person handling check in was very, very nice and helpful. She took us to our site and then returned later to make certain everything was as we expected. The only thing needed is shaded sites as it is a very warm day. This will come as trees are planted, but are still small. Pool, hot tub, showers and restrooms are spotless. We will be back!
This a very rustic but well kept park. The owners and managers are extremely helpful. The sites for the most part are well kept. This is not by any stretch of the imagination a luxury park, but it does have it's own personality character. We prefer these type parks over the cookie cutter parks in so many areas. The hhokups are well situated and easy to use. We would stay here again. They also have a nice small fishing lake for catch and release only.
What a Dump! This is probably the filthiest, noisiest with the most unfriendly staff I've ever come accross. The park is generally in total disrepair. Weeds, leaves and overgrown grass is what you can expect. The bathroom keys are available only if you pay a deposit of $3.00 per key. This was not told to us until we went to use the restrooms. Probably worked out for the best. I'm sure the bathrooms were not any better maintained than the rest of the park. Trains were so close and so noisy that sleep was not possible for any extended length of time. There are now several very nice parks in Wellton and the general area. We stayed here because we had called ahead for reservations, and it was late in the evening. We were tired and using Passport America. We will never visit this terrible park again.
This truly is an exceptional park. The layout and spaces were configured by someone who knew something about RV's. All sites are large and hookups are very well situated. Restrooms are kept spotless and showers are as clean as ours are at home. The pool area and hot tub are easily accessable and comfortable to use. We feel very secure here. This is a park to put on your must visit list if you are ever in the Tucson/Benson/Tombstone area. While the parks cleanliness and amenities are wonderful the management goes out of their way to make you feel like you are at home and not just visiting. Park owners and managers should take notice that this is how a RV park and resort should be operated.
This could really be a special park if not for the fact that they have not updated the site size for 30 years. The site we were asked to back our 36 ft. fifth wheel into was very challenging. In actuallity, we could not place in the correct central location because of the site size and the sites not being level. The magagment agrees that the sites are too small for the newere bigger rigs, but that is just the way it is. If it were not for the location, this would just be another park with unfriendly managers.
This is one of the most promising parks we've seen. Unfortunatley, the management team has let the park go downhill. It has so much potential it is a shame to see it in the shape it is in. The management seems to believe that they are doing the visitor a favor allowing them to visit there. The grounds are a mess and red ants attack whenever you stand still. We could not allow the childern to play in the playground for fear of ants etc. attacking them. The only reason we chose to stay was a seperation on our 5th wheel tire that would not allow going any further. The pool was tolerable, but the hot tub was filthy. I'm hoping that the owner or management does something about the current condition of this park. We will not be staying there again unless things change.
Very nice park where location is one of the highlights. Hookups are planned and the grounds are very well kept. Dog runs are clean and spaced nicely. Restrooms are clean and very large. For the most part the staff (once you arrive) is exceptional. My initial phone call to make reservations was met with an attitide of you're doing me a favor by calling. Upon arrival things were great. A wonderful surprise of free Wifi is another reason to come back to this park. We will return often I'm sure. As things evolve and the world is changing it is nice to see RV park owners and managers are changing with the times making the changes that make me want to return.
This park just keeps getting better and better. It is one of our favorites. Beautiful level sites, easy hookups and a staff of very helpful delightful people. The owner is hands on. Our group always looks forward to this outing. We've already set it up for next year. They have just expanded to a mesa overlooking the existing part of the park. It is just as awesome as the lower part. We we will be back!
This is an okay campground. Kids are welcome, but keep an eye on them as the delta water access is open and dangerous. Great campground if your main interst is fishing or fishing. Biggest drawback is that there is no provisions for sewer hookup at the sites. There is a dump available however. The management is very helpful and friendly and security is excellent. Spaces are pretty level and hookups are easy to hook to. In my opinion, the price is a little high based on what you get. Again, our biggest concern was safety for the kids. We will return when it is just my wife and I.
This is a very nice rustic park. Just what one would expect in the mountains. Sites are level, and easy to back into. Hookups are just where they should be. Clubhouse is very nice and has a wonderful if not overworked woodstove. Grounds are kept neat and clean. Dog walk is well groomed. The staff is what sets this park apart from many others. They are fabulous. They truly do bring added value to the camping experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.
