We made reservations for two nights and gave our trailer size of 24', when we arrived they only had a 21' site left, and said that's what the reservation was taken as 21', and that I probably gave them the wrong size when I called in! No apology or possibility they made a mistake. They put us in a overflow spot next to the gate/exit. The cable didn't work, tons of noise from the street, trains, etc.
This place is over rated! Has too many sites in one place, is very run down and old. WiFi didn't work; the trains that run around the outside of campground, are loud and annoying; staff was not that friendly. For the money I would stay at another park, which is much closer to Vancuover and Stanily park much better priced and the WiFi works.
A great place to stay for access to Victoria. I would recommend making reservations as this is a very popular place. Has nice views of the harbor if you can get one of those sites. There is a walkway that you could walk to town (about 1.5 miles) or take the harbor shuttle boats for quick trips. Has lots to do and see here. The whale watching boats are a must do!
A great place for a base camp to explore the Island. The campground is are very well maintained, and a very nice staff running things. We had a great camp site that overlooked the bay. Saw a few eagles and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Not a lot to do here, but plenty of things to do on the Island.
The campground is very well maintained, though your neighbors can be very close in most spaces, the trains run mostly at night which can be a little annoying.the staff is friendly and somewhat helpful. Almost everything in whistler is pricey and this place is no exception, but they are the only place right in whistler only a mile from camp so your paying for the convenience. Bring lots of cash because there is a lot to do here!
We stayed here for three days, and very impressed with the campground size and space between sites. The staff was very helpful with every detail of our stay. I would highly recommend this place for family camping or a couple without children. Very quit and relaxing.
OK for a night stay, but wouldn't recommend for an extended stay.feels old and run down not much to do for families, but for great access to Vancouver and Stanley park, this is a good camp spot. the highway is close, and there is some noise, but it's not to bad.
