I don't know what happened to the reviewer who entered a complaint about noise from the trains, but we did not experience that problem. We heard a couple of trains but nothing to the extent that he described. I want to give this campground a better chance at being selected as a stop-over. It was easy to get in and out of; has pull-through sites; is quiet and convenient not only to I-65 but also to shops and restaurants in the Pelham area. A 10% discount to KOA, Good Sam. Nice gentleman in the office, very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed here on our way from Florida to the Grand Canyon and on our way back home to Florida. Very nicely kept campground; friendly, helpful staff. Hookups at both of our sites were in excellent shape. Cable TV and (strong) Wi-Fi. Only negative is that the FedEx hub is here in Memphis and the planes are loaded and begin taking off at around 3AM to around 4AM. But this particular campground is further than others in the area and the noise is less here. Have recommended Memphis Jellystone Park to several couples we met while traveling.
We were not sure, at all, about staying in this campground; but when I went into the office to register, my mind was instantly put to rest! They had a small kitchen where a woman was cooking home-made Mexican dinners. It smelled heavenly. Fresh apple and cherry turnovers too! One of the fellows from the office brought our dinner (and breakfast) to us at our site. Never have had THAT service before! Would recommend this campground to anyone and everyone who passes through this area and needs a place for the night, or, for that matter, several days in order to take in the sights. Nice level sites and quite too. Cable and Wi-Fi. Nice gift shop in office. We would definitely stop here again.
