Keep in mind this is a Fairground, but large area for walking or riding your bike. Grass Sites, some full hook-up, some with just electric. Close to grocery and fast food. Great Steakhouse across the street "Fairlawn Steakhouse". We stayed for a month. Eldora Speedway is maybe 30 minutes away. Dayton, Ohio is about 30 minutes away also. There is a "Kitchen Aid" store downtown where they sell mixers & small appliances. If ever around the area I would stay here again.
This is a nice campground. It is mostly “Seasonal” but there is plenty of room for transit RV’ers too. It was very crowded over the Labor Day week-end which I expected; you do have to watch out for golf carts. We were here for 6 days, and were disappointed they charged a surcharge of $10.00 since it was a Holiday weekend. Especially since their WiFi was not working, and from what some of the Seasonals told me, hasn’t worked all year. You could tell there was some “tension” between the owner and workers, but we were treated just fine. I would return if in the area, however will try to avoid during Holiday weekends if possible.
This is a really nice campground, and the owner & employees try to make your stay enjoyable. There are mainly seasonal RV’s but a lot of transit RV’ers too. There is something going on most of the time and most week-ends they have live bands. There are a lot of golf carts running around and children on bikes, so you have to be careful in that respect. They have canoe and pontoon rentals and a nice beach. I will definitely return to this park the next time I’m in the area.
This was our second time here, the staff is friendly and helpful. Mostly seasonal sites, but they did not make us feel like outsiders. There are a lot of golf-carts running around and children on bicycles, so you must keep a keen eye. I would definitely use this campground again when in the area.
This was a nice campground, however some of the pull-though sites had no grass, just gravel. We used it as a base camp, so this was not a problem for us. If we returned to this area, we would stay here again.
As mentioned in the other reviews, the sites are very close together. We just used this campground as a base-camp, so it worked OK. The people were friendly, we did not use the bathroom or showers, but looked clean from the outside. There is a charge for the WiFi so we did not use it. The 3 days we stayed was plenty long for us being this close together with other RVs. If we returned to the area and needed a base-camp for a few days again, we would probably use this campground again.
The people were friendly and the campground was clean. We stayed in a pull-through site which was large enough for our 5th Wheel w/ 3 slides and our truck. We did not use the bathroom or showers. They give you 15 minutes free WiFi, then they charge a fee. This campground made a great base-camp for us while visiting the local attractions and touring a RV Factory. I would stay here again.
This was a very nice campground, with paved primary roads, gravel sites & secondary roads. The park was clean & staff very friendly. There are a lot of seasonal sites, but also very friendly. You have to keep an eye open for bicycles & Golf Carts, but we were there over Memorial Day Weekend. They had a lot of activities and playgrounds for the little ones. I certainly would use this campground again when in the area.
This is an older campground which is now one of the Sunburst campgrounds. Everyone was friendly including the Staff. Very little grass, and some sites are tight and close together. We used it mainly for a "Base Camp" while visitng our Daughter & Son-in-law. Ulmerton is a very busy road, at times it can be difficult to get in and out of the park. I am rating it at 7, only because it is an older park and a little tight, however it does look like they are upgrading some of the utilities. I would return when in this area again.
This is a wonderful campground. All of the facilities are top notch, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the new concrete pads (some of the sites) are great. We were there after Labor Day week-end, and there were quite a few empty sites. We really enjoyed staying on a beach front site (I-38), but it was a little windy, more so than when we stayed further off the beach, previously. Although this is a little larger campground than I normally like to stay at, it was a very pleasurable stay. I would return when in the area.
