Not a bad park with the exceptions being poor cable TV(stations constantly going in and out, and pitiful wifi, being so slow as to be non-useable or just not available at all. Spoke to several seasonal residents and they all confirmed that it has always been this way, yet when we inquired before reserving, the office assured us these amenities worked great. We were here three years ago and the wifi was just as bad then.
Great class "A" RV resort in a great town. Gated entrance, wide streets and large sites, each with a gazebo. Two swimming pools and very nice clubhouse/laundry facilities. Strong Wi-Fi and good cable. Very private private and extremely quiet. We stayed here for a month and will definitely be back.
The good: close to the interstate, Wi-Fi & cable worked. The bad: site not level and the sewer connection was so high that you had to lift your hose repeatedly to drain your tanks. They don't accept credit cards and did not tell us when we made the reservations. Also, several run down rigs that appear to be permanent renters.
This is an older park and is definitely NOT "big rig" friendly. The road coming in to the park, and a different road leaving the park, are both very curvy and narrow. It is impossible to avoid tree branches and if you meet another vehicle, one of you will have to back up, possibly up hill and a considerable distance. We reserved their most expensive site but could not use it unless we jacked the rear wheels off the ground or dug out an area in the adjacent bank so the coach steps could fully extend. And this was with a tree branch across the top of the living room slide. Later in the day I saw where another camper in a 42' coach had taken a shovel and cleared an area so his steps could fully extend. And finally the wifi did not work. I would never return to this park, even in a much smaller coach.
We have stayed at this park many times and have always found the owners to be pleasant and helpful. The sites are level and easily accommodate our 41' motorhome. The wifi and cable have always been perfect. Well worth the $$.
Close to the interstate with pull-thru sites, but not much else. I have stayed here three times this year and the "free wifi" has only worked at the office. Lady manager is a bit abrasive and gives the impression that she wishes you weren't there.
This park is in Plattekill not Newburgh and is 65 miles from NY City. Definitely NOT big rig friendly. The road to the park is very narrow, and the roads and sites in the park are tight and impossible to navigate without hitting tree branches. The wifi is a joke. Over priced. Would not stay here again.
