This was a great campground. We had been looking for a home base and I think this might be it! Easy to get to, easy to get to town/shopping. Tent sites are spaced out nicely, with trees in between. Sites are large with plenty of room. Bathhouse in A section was nice -- could have used more showers, I think, but still adequate. Playground was great. Would have liked more things offered in store, but again, town is close by for anything needed. Will definitely be back next year!
We stayed on site 52 with friends and it was fantastic. It was right on the creek, which was a great way to provide white noise between campsites. Plenty of room on the site. The store was very well stocked and staff was friendly. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've even seen while camping. The only thing that made it hard was how we had to carry everything across the foot bridge to our site, but we knew that when we made the reservation. Would definitely stay here again!
The swimming lake was wonderful. Our sites (B12 and 14) were wonderful. The bathrooms were atrocious. The one that was closest to us (by D8) was way too cramped, the showers were old and had been repaired/patched way too often. One evening there was no hot water. We used a different one later on when we were walking around the campground and that one was no better. Also, the site behind us had a loud group with alcohol (which is supposedly not ok) and while there was plenty of staff on patrol during the day, there was no one at night and this group partied very, very late. The bathrooms are our reason to not return.
This was a great camping trip for us! The pool and slide were AWESOME. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the site was great. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again and again. The ice machine was not keeping ice frozen well: they were in the midst of fixing it while we were here. We paid for 2 bags of ice, they would give us 4 to make up for the melting.
