The brochure shows a very soothing, picturesque place to camp along with poetic descriptions. Wow: the brochure was very deceiving! What a dump! It was more like a trailer trash parking lot. Any view of the lake was blocked by trees or ugly permanent trailers. Even the map on the brochure was deceptive: driving west from '67' we took the left on 'P' from 'A' only to drive for 30 minutes in a big circle realizing the signs were posted further west on 'A'. Then there was the added fees and odd rules. Can't walk pets, keep noise to your site (hard to do when the sites were only 12x18), anything above a whisper gets you kicked out with no refund of course. Don't waste your precious vacation time and money on this dump. Don't believe their brochure.
It is a fantastic place to camp! Even though we like to try other campgrounds now & then, Devil's Lake always is a wonderful experience. It rained every day off & on but we still had a great time. We had nice camping neighbors. The facilities include clean bathrooms and beautiful Lake to swim in. There is great hiking too.
