We have stayed at several cg's on the Cape, but returned to Sweetwater due to its fairly central location. Not too far to the National Seashore or to the Lower Cape. Staff was very friendly. We had site T-3 which was okay but a bit narrow due to some trees which were close to the awning and a very small fire pit against a fence. Our in-laws had T-4, which was much better. Plenty of room on the site. I'm sure we will be returning to the Cape, and this is the cg we will be staying at.
We enjoyed our weekend here. It is a steep grade on the road leading to the campground. We don't like to push it and kept it at 30mph. We had site 7, which was a pull thru next to the pool. After reading previous posts I wondered if we would have full hookups. Luckily we had sewer as we had requested. Our site was a bit narrow with the awning out. The in-lays had site 6, which was more spacious so we ate meals there. Just make sure you have boards to level your unit as the sites are not that level. The pool was very clean. We enjoyed it each day and wasn't too crowded. The campground is quite large, with lots of seasonals. Mini-golf was okay, and they have rc cars you can rent as well as a sluice to pan for gems if you want.
Very nice campground. Sites were a good size and grassy. Large heated pool and a jacuzzi. There is also a very nice mini-golf course, not your typical low budget course. Only downside is the campground is set on a hill, and some areas can be a bit steep. Also, I don't like the practice of charging for kids.
