We stayed here three nights while exploring the north side of Olympic National Park. We found this RV park to be nice, and a good central location for exploring Olympic. We had a back-in site in the "older" section of the park, which included a fire ring. Site was easy to access and was level, and we were pretty close to our neighbors. I was disappointed that there was only one men and one women's shower stall for the entire park...they charged 50 cents for three minutes. There was wifi, but it was pretty slow. We would definitely stay there again.
This was a great camping location. It is a State Park with electric and water hookups. My rating reflects the fact that there is not a dump station. The sites are layed out well, not too close together, with good privacy. There are plenty of trees that provide lots of shade. We really enjoyed staying there. I also knocked down the rating for the showers -- you had to use tokens to (rather than quarters), and the tokens were only available down the hill at the Ranger information station (not a huge deal, but a bit of a pain). Our kids loved exploring the park, the beach, and the rest of the island.
This is one of the best NPS campgrounds we have ever stayed at. We were in loop C (which is the reservable loop). It is in an old-growth forest (moss-covered trees, ferns, etc.), which made for very beautiful surroundings and provided plenty of shade. Camp sites have paved driveways and have good space between them, which provides for good privacy. (Much better than some other NPS campgrounds we have stayed at in the past.) Bathrooms were clean with flushing toilets. There is a dump station with fresh water to fill up the water tank. The park rangers were all very nice. The campground is very close to the park visitors center, which was handy. We loved it! Would absolutely stay here again.
Our stay at this park was an excellent experience. The park is right outside the west entrance to Yellowstone. There was some construction going on at one end of the park, but it did not cause a problem. Our kids loved the game-room (included a air-hockey table and X-Box games). We absolutely would stay here again!
Our kids loved the indoor swimming pool. The staff was extremely friendly and were happy to accommodate our request for a late check-out. This park is right next to the freeway, and the traffic can definitely be heard in the park. The park was very clean and maintained well. However, the spaces were tight and the access roads were more narrow than most parks we have stayed at recently. We stayed here one night as a "stop-over" on a trip south. Overall, this is a nice RV park, but not a lot of frills (other than the swimming pool).
