Front desk person was frazzled and not very friendly, but did get us checked in quickly and efficiently. No pull through sites meant we had to back in, but the escort stayed with us until we were settled. Close neighbors on 3 sides, and the site was all dirt, but other than that it was level and all the services worked. In summary, it is a fairly nice resort for Estes Park, which doesn't really have an upscale or luxury place to park your RV. We'll keep looking for a nicer place, but would stay here again if we didn't find anything better.

Stayed the Memorial Day weekend here and really enjoyed it. The site was gravel and wasn't quite level, but was close enough. There was a nice wooden picnic table and a fire ring which were all in good condition. The people were very busy but helpful and got us checked in quickly, then we were escorted to our site. The water, electric and sewer were all in great shape and everything worked perfectly. Note they don't have cable TV and we were unable to get any TV stations, but we didn't come here to watch TV anyway. They had a water park and big play area for the kids (although we weren't traveling with children), but this would be a great place for kids to play. The only reason we didn't mark this a 10 was because there were long term or permanent rigs throughout the park, many with a lot of 'junk' around them, which really took away from the RV resort atmosphere. They have a nice store and now have a small selection of beers, wines and liquor which is nice if you run out as the nearest town in about 8 miles away. Road noise was not bad and we recommend this park to be near the Royal Gorge. We did note that the other parks nearby were not nearly as full as Prospectors so this must the be good park to stay in!

Selected a pull-through site months in advance and paid a deposit. Was called later and told the site had been reserved for the season by someone else but they had another site for us but it was a back in. What could we do? The site was not level and we had a lot of trouble fitting our large 5th wheel in. No trees or shade where the site we had picked out did. The people were very nice, some of the nicest we've dealt with, but the mix-up and the terrible site with the high cost results in the low rating we gave, and we won't stay here again.

We camped here over the Memorial day weekend and thought it was a nice park. Close to Red Rocks, Golden, and Morrison. Park is clean and well kept with a lot of larger and newer rigs. We camped in a 37' 5th wheel and even with a paved pad we couldn't quite get level. I could have used leveling blocks but that would have required hooking back up to the truck which I didn't want to do. There is no cable TV although we were able to get quite a few of the Denver channels as a lot of the TV transmission towers are right behind the park on Lookout mountain. The park is surprisingly quiet even though it is near the I-70 and E-470 highways. There is a biker bar across the street but we didn't hear the noise in the campground although you can hear the bikes come and go. There is a sports bar just up the road but we didn't stop there. Wi-Fi was worthless any time I tried it so I gave up. There was a small patch of grass between campers but it was more like a patch of weeds. Sure wouldn't take much to make this a nice area. No campfires were allowed although we did cook on our charcoal grill. There were a lot of families, kids and dogs in the park so it seemed busy outside, and with no campfires we just stayed in our RV evenings. Cost was a little high but the park seemed full so I guess it is working for them. Keep in mind it is a park at the edge of the Denver metro area if you decide to stay here, it is not a real camping experience.
