Rustic park but loads of petrified wood and fun rocks between the sites. Gravel sites not too level but not bad enough that we had to unhitch. Old Stinson airplane on the property. Friendly manager. Looked better than the ones reviewed in Tonapah. Great view of valley and hills. Easy access to hiway.
Great park, friendly helpful staff, escort to site #59. All paved and level sites, wide streets. Well maintained lawns and grounds. We didn't go to casino, though they have a shuttle. Family style restrooms and showers.
When leaving we had to pull forward to site # 56B to dump, we got put into site 56A going the wrong direction. Friendly staff, cafe is pricey. No cell phone coverage unless you drive back toward Susanville and get higher. Nice atmosphere in the park like all high California forest setting. Close to Mt Lassen NP.
We stayed overnight, very friendly owners. Great view of Mount Shasta (after a short walk). No Wi-Fi in our site, but she told us that before we pulled in to it - we wanted shade. Entrance to park is very narrow, one lane. Need to turn right when you come to fence after leaving street. There is a train track close by - didn't bother us, but was noticeable.
We stayed for six nights while attending a wedding in Las Vegas. Park is on a bus line to the "Strip" so you don't have to try to park downtown. Wi-Fi was weak in our site, #56 but the office loaned us a Wi-Fi amp that worked just fine. Park was clean, well maintained with a security gate, lots of full timers. It is close to Nellis AFB with low flying fighter jets leaving in the AM and returning in the PM. Didn't fly on Memorial Day, however. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a Walmart to the North and several gas and diesel stations near by.
