A wonderful park! Beautiful setting on the water, clean, spacious. easy to park, great concrete sites, really level. It appears to be mostly long-time seasonal residents but people were very friendly to us during our 5-day stay; the seasonal sites were very neat & well-kept. The highway is extremely busy but most sites are well away from it & we thought it was very quiet. We hope to stay there again on our way north.
It would be nice if there were trees; but at this time of the year it didn't matter. This is a brand new park (open 7 months); all the roads and sites are concrete, very level, spacious. There is a small pond for fishing. Everything is immaculate. The road is a little noisy but we could have our windows open & not be bothered. A great place for a night or two on the road; we would stay here again if we're in the area.
We stayed for a month so the rate I listed is the prorated monthly rate (includes bill for electricity). The only reason I did not give this park a 10 is that the highway is quite busy & noisy; you wouldn't want to be in one of the front spots. But sites in the trees (which are back-ins) and the pull-through sites towards the back are quiet. Otherwise this park is wonderful. Large sites, lots of open green space; we didn't use the bathrooms but the laundry is spotlessly clean & the machines are new & work very well. The owner manages the park & is there daily; he & his 3 staff people are some of the friendliest we've ever met. While we were there they held a movie night & a campfire/cookout so guests could meet each other & mingle. We will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.
This park is in the middle of town; sites in the front would be very noisy but we were in the back (ask for the west side) and it was very quiet. Nice sites, lots of trees. Staff were friendly and helpful; we were escorted to our site & given help with backing in. Nothing stands out in particular, but we had a wonderfully relaxing, stress-free stay there; so much so that we extended our stay an extra day.
Very polished, professional park. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful: when we had cable TV trouble, they sent a maintenance man immediately. Everything was immaculate. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is that the internet connection went in and out regularly during our stay, which was frustrating. There was highway noise, but not excessive.
I gave this campground a 3 instead of a lower number only because it is a really pretty setting, and smaller RV's/campers might have a better experience. It is on the shore of Devil's Lake, and the lake has been rising for several years. An entire row of campsites is under water & no longer in use, but no mention of this was made when the office staff gave us a map to get to our site (no escort). This caused us to take the wrong road, as we thought we were one road farther from the water than we were; it was a service road & we sustained major damage to our roof from trees. When I reported this to the office, they were "sorry" but offered nothing else; I suggested they change their maps but just got a shrug. The interior roads are dirt, rutted & bumpy, & have low-hanging trees; no one with a larger rig should try to navigate them! There are new sites farther from shore but they appear to be only for seasonal residents. We left after only one night, when we had planned to stay for three.
