The park itself was relatively clean and is close to New York City (about a hour away). However, we made reservations for two sites 3 months in advance of our arrival only to find that we were bumped off the required 50 amp sites and put on a 30 amp sites. The staff of high schoolers was not able to handle the situation and basically said there was nothing they could do. By the way the travel trailers that were in our original spots only needed 30 amp svc. The laundry facilities were decent but would have been better if the machines didn't blow the breakers every 15 minutes. Took 2 hours to wash a load of cloths. We would probably stay here again but only for the location.
Loved, loved, loved it. We came in late and they were waiting for us. Very helpful getting us to our sites. Kids had a blast participating in campground events. Owners and staff were eager to help with local goodies. We will stay here again. Ray - keep up the good work. Eat at "Markeys"
Very disappointing. The surrounding areas were a bit scarey. We made multiple space reservations well in advance ( 3 months ) of our arrival only to get there and find we were stuck in the back right on the highway. The ground was un-level with grass surface. The grass looked like it had not been mowed for sometime. We did go in to the office in the AM and demand that we be moved to a better location which they did but we had to fight for it. If we return we would not stay here, we would go into Canada.
I was truly impressed with Twin Creek. The campground was clean and well maintained. The road was close but did not bother us at all. Down side is be prepared to encounter a lot of traffic coming through town. Overall great experience. We will definitely return again. Kids had a blast playing in the crystal clear stream behind our Motorhome.
