This was a weekend stop to visit family in Tyler. Very friendly hosts. Campground very clean and well kept. Wi-Fi not the best but the weather was bad. Large shaded site with a nice concrete patio. Pet friendly and quiet. Will be back.
The park is extremely clean and well kept. We were a little disappointed that the site we were on really did not accommodate our trailer and truck nicely. We did not know that you can pick your site a year ahead of time with Arkansas State Parks. The park was totally full. We can say that we spent the day digging for diamonds without any luck. An adventure that we can say we did.
We camped here for 2 nights and were extremely happy with our stay. The first site they had us at was too difficult to get into, but they accommodated us very well and gave us another site. We did not know that with the Arkansas state parks you could actually pick the site you would like to be on, a year in advance. It is advisable to call the park and they will direct you to the best site for your trailer. The website for the state parks do not let you pick out your site yet. The staff made up greatly for that oversight. Very quiet and relaxing park. We were not able to hike, but we will definitely be back. Restrooms and park are very clean. Lake front campsites are very nice. We will be back. Hot Springs less than 30 minutes away.
We spent 3 nights here on site 2 and our friends stayed in the bunkhouse. Owners are very friendly and accommodated all our needs. Sites were level and shaded. Bunkhouse fully stocked with bedding, bath, and kitchen needs. Shower house was clean. Only campground close to the Buffalo River that takes trailers. Floated the river one day and hiked on the Centerpoint Trail next. Very quiet and peaceful campground. Will go back for some much needed relaxation. $75 a night for bunkhouse.
We spent one night at the KOA. The campground was very well kept. We camped in a pull-through site: full hookups, 30/20 amp, cable/Wi-Fi, and some shade. We were sandwiched between motorhomes twice our size. The restrooms were very clean. Had a small dog run that was also clean. Staff not very knowledgeable about the area and directed us to a Wal-Mart that was closed. Good directions to campground on the website, but no signs off I-430 about the KOA.
We camped here for he weekend while visiting family in Tyler. Office staff very friendly and helpful. We camped on site 2A. The site was very uneven and you had to go over a large possible speed bump to get into it. Too many full time permanent residents in the lake front views. Did not feel very safe in the area. Looks like they are trying to clean it up. Don't know if we will be back.
The name of this park has changed. It is now called Valley Inn Motel-RV Park-Club. We stopped here only because we had trailer problems. Staff friendly. Lots of permanent residents. Bathrooms clean, but the showers could use some work. Okay for a emergency stop.
