The good: nice, friendly, helpful staff; adjacent farm animals - nice touch. The bad: wifi is terrible - gave up trying to use our tablets and switched to phones with data feed; site was barely long enough for our coach (40') and no room for the car at all; very tight exiting. We've stayed here twice but I'm pretty sure if we return to the area we'll seek out another campground.
A most disappointing park. Almost entirely permanent residents. RVs were in a section of an antiquated mobile home park. Pull-thrus, one of which we had, required driving across a field to access a site on the other side. The site itself was gravel, mostly level and somewhat narrow. No services, store, restroom facility (which we wouldn't use anyway), playground, dedicated dog walk, etc., etc. I suppose that "run down" would fit this park very well.
I should note that our rate was monthly, as we stayed three months. Hidden Lake is a very nice place. The personnel are very nice, helpful to a fault and go out of their way to be accommodating. The park provides very easy access to pull-thru sites although one or two of the back-ins looked a little narrow. That's a guess, because the back-in we had was just fine! The park doesn't cater to children in that there is no playground equipment or pool. Nevertheless, it is a great place to stay a day or a week or longer.
Great place. Easy access to Interstate but just far enough away to block traffic noise. Good layout of sites that are generous in size. Very nice personnel. This was a very enjoyable overnight experience.
This is a very nice park. A little unusual design but great use of space. The owners were very nice, check-in was a snap. We had a back-in site that was very easy to maneuver. If you're planning to stay here, request a space that's "above the office" for nice view. Pull-through sites are in a different location and don't have a view at all. We stayed for ten days and had a delightful time. I suspect that other reviewers who gave lesser ratings were either tired from driving, inept at parking, or just grumpy.
A great place for kids and families. Younger kiddos would really like it. As for me, the site was difficult to maneuver and the dust was awful. The park was pretty well maintained (though the sewer connection was broken). The employees were nice but the office staff was in a state of confusion the times that I was in the office.
East access, although some signage is small & poorly placed. There was nice food/drink availability in store. (Good fried chicken.) The sites are kind of narrow, yet manageable. The place appeared to be a bit neglected ~ shrubs required attention, sewer drop was broken, etc. Pet friendly? Doesn't seem so as they charge a fee for pets.
Very neat, clean, attractive. Pull-thru sites are double front and back so you could be in trouble if you get the back site and the rig in front doesn't leave before you. Easy in and out. Easy access to interstate. GOOD SAM MEMBERS, please note that they are NOT giving a true 10% discount. True, the difference is minor. It's more a matter of principle. The clerk blamed the error on the computer but it would have more correctly been placed on whoever entered the program information.
