The park is real nice and clean and as a bonus, they have WI-FI at the shower house, with plans to broadcast all over the campground when the Wi-Fi is installed and operational, the place will be a 10. The office people are great and the Ranger was nice...a beautiful place.
Was crowded as all State Parks are usually. The camp host was nice and showed us to our spot. We stayed 3 days and enjoyed this quiet, peaceful place, not too much noise. If you want to dry camp it is great. The phone service spotty, Wal-Mart phones won't work. In our spot we could not tune in Directv on account of the hills and trees, but some people could through the trees. Anyway a nice place to spend a couple of days.
The overnight fees have increased to $40 per night. If you want Wi-Fi, it is $10 per month or $3 per night. Too much money for what you get. We have stayed here off and on for the past 10 years and the owner just keeps going up on the fees. We won't be coming back.
This is a beautiful park: wildlife abounds. Fishing and hiking are available. Would have been a 10, but damage from the February icestorm hasn't been completely cleared. Don't know if they are attempting to clean up. Other than that, it is a great place and we will return.
We stopped here this week (March 22, 2010). There is a note on the door saying: "Deposit $20 and pick out a site." It appears the office is closed and the motel is closed. There is no Wi-Fi. The note did not explain anything other than the "honor" system is being used for pay. So I think maybe the park is having some problems. Hate to see it as it was a great park. Hope the owners see this and answer.
The roads are narrow and in need of repair, turns are tight even for a 35 footer, the campground is clean, but the I-44 noise is overwhelming. The people operators were nice. The campground needs some work, but they are in the process of repairing. Nice overnight area to stay, but noisy.
The campground is a great place for an overnight stay. The owner and his wife are friendly and will go out of the way to help you. The interstate is close, but of little bother. We will stay here again on our next trip.
The original owner kept possession of the campground since it did not sell. The staff is friendly and the campground appears to be in better shape now. It got a lot of Rain this week so the golf course should be in good playable condition. One of those Oklahoma Thunder Boomers went through We will stay here again.
There are numerous construction workers in the park, coming and going at all hours of the night and day. Perhaps the campground will be quieter when the construction is finished. Also the CG will be auctioned on Oct 30th. The present owner is trying to get rid of it. The golf course is in bad shape: the greens are suffering and the fairways are rough looking. Hope the new owner will upgrade the Wi-Fi system. It is a hit and miss system right now, with people in the office, no knowledge other than powering down and repowering in hopes it will repair itself.
A so-so park. From the other people who had rated the park, we chose this one in Amarillo for a one night stay. It is not as fabulous as others have described. The roadways are rough. No one in the office on Sunday eve. The Wi-Fi worked good only after you dialed a number and ask for the password and ID. Anyway not a bad park, but I would not go out of my way to stay here again.
The park has seen its better days. Although it is a nice park, it appears that the upkeep of the park is suffering...trashy, grass burrs, the grass hasn't been mowed. Such a beautiful place going to the dogs. It is a shame.
The golf course part of the RV park has started to get worse. The greens are suffering, probably due to the fact the former operator has left. Other than that the park remains a nice place to park. The office people are nice and very pleasent to talk to. Will stay here again. The Wi-Fi went blank on our last day, but there was a storm.
When we pulled into the campground the host ask if we had reservations..no. Gosh, it was frustrating to them. The park was half empty, but they made a big deal of it. Also the office was closing, and they said to find a spot and pay tomorrow. They just acted as if we bothered them by showing up at 4 pm and asking for a place to stay. This was our first time there, and it will be our last time there.
The park is full of ATV's and motorcycles that are ridden in the campground to the riding area. If you don't like the sound of these machines, then this is not the place for you. There are no sewer or water hook ups at the sites, but faucets and a dump station are available. This is a beautiful place, but noisy during the day. At night it is peaceful.
Overpriced for what you get, but if it is the only campground in the area. They can charge what they want. Would not stay here, but as stated above, it is the only campground in the area. Would only stay again if necessary.
The owners of this park has own it for 40+ years. they are in their 80's. The roads are very rough, no maintenance has been performed for years. The electrical is old, the sewer is old, the hosts were friendly, the park is full of construction workers. The only reason we stayed here was there were no other parks available. They were all full. So if you are heading for Orange, Nederland, Port Arthur, there will be a problem finding a park. Would not stay here again.
The spot I was in was so narrow that the neighbor's slide was so close to my slide, you could hear their TV. There was electrical problems on the pad. The 30 amp wiring was sticking up in the air. This place was a shambles. Would not stay here again.
This campground is clean and well taken care of, and with the recent rain(s) the place is green and lush. Good Wi-Fi is available at no charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay here again: a nice place.
As stated in the previous review, the park has changed hands. In my opinion, the park has gone downhill since the change. The weeds haven't been mowed, the price increased, the electrical needs upgrading. The place just looks like it hasn't been taken care of, no maintainence. We have stayed here the past 10 years, but don't believe we will be back.
The park is a beautiful place. The only drawback, is there are thousands of off road vehicles, not in the camp area, but in a special place where they ride. The area was clean and well kept. It was quiet during the week, but on the weekends things pick up. A beautiful part of the Missouri Ozarks and a nice place to camp.
Who ever rated this park as a five star, obviously did not stay at the same Circle B as I. First, this is an old park. The parking spaces are very, very narrow, just barely enough room to extend the slides. The campground hookups are located at the front of the parking space, while the hookups on the motorhome are located at the back of the RV, thus making it necessary for a trip to town to buy more sewer hose and water hose. There is not 50 amp hookups for the side by side sites: one 30 and one 50. The adjacent camper was hooked up to the 50, sooo that left us with the 30. Amp counting has begun. I went back to the office and requested a 50 amp site, none were available. He asked if we had requested a 50 when we made reservations, more or less told us tough. Did not offer to refund our money, but offered to sell us supplies. I will not camp here again, it's too close to your neighbor, and small. My Advise: pass this one up and look for a more modern park.
The park was quiet and clean. The parking sites were wide. This park is one of the nicest RV parks in Branson. (I have stayed in a bunch.) If you are looking for a quiet place, close to Branson then this the park.
Would rate as a 10 if there was sewer. There is a dump though. We stayed here 4 days and enjoyed the camp. It is located on Grand Lake and is a beautiful spot. The camp hosts were helpful and friendly. Will stay here again.
