We found Lakeside to be one of the nicest parks we've ever visited. Neat, clean, beautifully landscaped with lots of trees/shade I doubt there is a bad site in the entire park. The staff was very friendly, competent and just a pleasure to deal with. The amenities are first class from the large pool to the lovely sand beach on the lake. The adjacent Casino is small, no table games just electronic games of chance, not loud or smokey; it was pleasure to spend time in. The restaurant has great food at very good prices. We enjoyed both breakfast and the buffet. We only stayed one night as we were returning home but will be back soon and for several nights.
This is a large park with mostly seasonal sites. Lots of activities for the kids, with wide open spaces. Got the Good Sam 10% discount and stayed over Friday and Saturday nights. Lots of unsupervised screaming kids became an annoyance which we reported to the staff. We would stay there again but cannot recommend weekends.
Most of the park is devoted to seasonals. They have their own pool non-seasonals not allowed. The pool for the rest of us is located a very long hike from the campground area behind the office. Level, gravel sites with lots of grass in between. We were there over the Memorial Day weekend for 4 nights.
A nice family oriented facility located one mile down a narrow dirt road. The sites are close together and there are lots of seasonals. The staff was friendly and while the campground was nearly deserted on the weekday we were there the weekends are reported to be very crowded and reservations are recommended.
