Rate reflects 50% Passport America Discount. Site rent includes 20 amps of electric and if you go over that, you pay 15 cents/kwh for the extras so we had to pay an additional $3.90. Nice owners/managers. Gravel roads & sites. Not a pretty park by any means. Owner said there was a large grassy dog run we could take our dog to, but we walked all over that place and never found it. Gas, fast food, restaurants and Wal-Mart are nearby and White Sands isn't too far. I guess we would stay here again if we had reason to be in that area but without the Passport discount, it's very expensive for what you get.
Cost reflects Good Sam Discount. The park is right on I-40 but highway noise was not a problem. Nice shade trees in the picnic and tent area but none where the motorhomes or trailers had to park. Pleasant enough place for an overnight stop. Not much around to see or do. It was clean and neat and sits out in the country: cow pasture behind the campground. We would definitely stay here again for a stopover.
Rate reflects 50% Passport America discount. For an overnight stopover, it's OK. The park is old and poorly laid out. It sits behind an old, run down motel which owner called "historic". Sites are interspersed among old, trashy mobile homes and ancient RVs with kids, dogs and junk all over the place. Definitely not a destination park. As we pulled out the next morning, we saw The Cactus RV Park right next door which looked to be a heck of lot nicer, for less money! Oh well.
This is a small place right off I-35 but you couldn't hear the road noise. It's convenient to OK City. Pretty park visually; well manicured with paved streets, concrete pads to park on, picnic tables on nice grassy area between each site. Also had friendly and helpful office staff.
