Park is well maintained and park staff friendly. The park provides curbside trash pick up daily, and while their are only 3 showers, they are updated and cleaned. The problem is that the showers are cleaned between 8-9 AM, when I wanted to take a shower so I had to wait on a couple on instances. The park location is best if your trip plans are centered around the Lake Travis area and don't plan to travel into Austin often. Commute times into the downtown area are anywhere from 40-90+ minutes depending on the time of day. If the location of the park was closer to town, I would have rated the park higher.
Park is located a few miles north of Ouray and off the main highway cutting down on noise! Park is very green (grass) and well maintained. Our site was about 70% grass although not as level as we would like; it took us about 20 minutes and moving our RV 3 times to find an acceptable spot. The "lovely stream" referred to on the web site is actually an irrigation ditch, but did sound nice. The park staff was nice and accommodating. The showers are dated and in need of upgrades, they also weren't the cleanest I've seen.
Park is very near main thoroughfare to Durango, and is relatively noisy. Although there are some trees, most of them aren't large enough to provide any useful shade at camp site where we were located. We were assigned slot #31, and while it is listed as a pull through, it would be very difficult to to accomplish if adjacent slots are filled. Tow parking was awkward at best, however adequate for our overnight stay.
Office/management staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is very small and camp sights are fairly narrow with very little shading. The park is next to the main road through town, and is very noisy during the daytime, however, it does quite down overnight. Our cable box didn't work during our stay and the WiFi was adequate. We did not use the restrooms or showers. There is a $2 per person charge for showers.
Clean, well maintained park with great access to 10 miles of biking tails and access to downtown San Antonio along Riverwalk. The city bus also picks up and drops off in front of park without having to fight downtown traffic and hunt for parking. Surrounding city area is not conducive to walking around in, but is only a few miles to various historic missions. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities were clean and well maintained. Large, level, grassy sites and friendly office staff. We look forward to staying here again.
Clean, well maintained RV park. All gravel park, with no green belt and is located close to major interstate, with constant traffic. If you're a very light sleeper, you might want to consider ear plugs. We only stayed overnight on our way to San Antonio, but it met our needs. We arrived after business hours, and had no problem checking in on our own and locating our designated site. Owners were very helpful over the phone and checked on us the next morning.
Lovely park setting with adjacent river, and deer in close proximity in early morning and evenings. Clean and well maintained park with fire pits located at each site. Office staff and other park personnel were very friendly and helpful. We're looking forward to staying again in this park.
Park is clean and well kept, however, sites are gravel only and have no trees/shade in any of the sites. The bathroom/shower combination are limited to two for the entire park and weren't particularly clean.
Park was clean and well kept, and the office staff were friendly. The park has only immature trees with little in the way of shade. The park is set away from the highway which cuts down on noise. However, it is located about 20 miles north of Carlsbad which makes for a long trip to the caverns which are located about 20 miles south of the city. On the plus side, they offer home cooked BBQ dinners or pizza delivered to your site nightly. The ribs were delicious!
Nice shady park sites. Office staff helpful and friendly. The park is located a couple of miles north of town, so you'll either need a a vehicle to get there or you can ride a bike to the nearest city trolley stop (which we did). The trolley will transport your bikes and take you downtown and it's free.
The park was clean, well kept, and the office staff was friendly. The bathroom & shower area limited; however, this time of year it wasn't a problem. The park is very convenient for riding and viewing the Cumbres/Toltec train.
