Wonderful park! Loved the huge shade trees all around! There was grass, and a brick patio that a picnic table sat on, level gravel pad for the RVs. lots of geese walking around the park with clean bathrooms, helpful staff, nice store. Would definitely stay here again if we were in San Antonio!

Really nice park! I would have given it a 9 if the showers were private. I did use the bathrooms, and they were pretty clean. Did not use the showers, because it was not a private shower. Was pleasantly surprised that they had Wi-Fi! Husband went fishing there and caught several! People were friendly. Lots of trees and shade and and geese and wildlife. Would love to stay again!

Good park, overall, considering the location. The sites do attempt to have some grass, but being basically a desert or high desert location, it is really mostly dirt. There are trees, and they are higher than basically any of the RVs, so they do provide some shade. The pads are gravel and are level. The bathrooms were older, but are clean and private. There are even some private tub units for the women, if that is your thing. I would prefer a shower, myself, so I used the shower unit. They are large-- the whole unit, not the shower itself. There were lots of cacti in bloom around at the time. And kitties! There is a cafe, which we ate at. It was out of most of the food we would have wanted to order, but I guess that meant it was popular. The name of the cafe was the Roadrunner Cafe, and as we were leaving we saw a live roadrunner in person! Very cool! The staff was very friendly! And they sold postcard stamps in the office, which I had been looking for all across the country! Would stay here again, if I needed to go through Ft. Stockton for some odd reason!

This was a very nice campground. Lots of trees, we had a site very close to the office and facilities, as well as close to the water. It was grassy and had several trees. Really lovely. The only problem was that the campground is right by the Interstate, so there is road noise, but having the fan on in the camper during the night masked all but the loudest trucks, and it wasn't really a problem. They do have a very small dog walk area, but no one said anything when my husband walked the dogs around the water in the morning. Bathrooms were clean and nice, and the internet worked great! Sites were gravel but nice and level. Would definitely stay here again. Very convenient, and the people were nice!

Really nice park. Paved main roads, with gravel side roads and sites. Would have been improved if there was less gravel, due to the noise of walking and driving on the gravel. But, other than that, it was a lovely visit. The people were *extremely* helpful! They have a fenced dog run, but it IS across a street, but it isn't a busy street, it just makes it a little hard to find, because it seems like it's out of the park. It is down by the water though, which is nice! Bathrooms are clean and lovely! Cafe wasn't open while we were there. Internet worked great. Would definitely stay again.

I gave this place a poor rating because of several reasons. First, the people were rude, short with us on the phone and in person, and unhelpful. Also, I am choosing places to stay based on internet availability, as we travel across the country- that is how I am updating family and friends as to our whereabouts, and how I am paying bills, and keeping up with my life. So, when we talked on the phone and they asked if we wanted the access code for the internet, of course I said "yes, PLEASE!". we arrived after the office was closed, but they had included the code with the map. no mention was made that an Apple would not work with the code, but we could NOT get on with the code. fortunately there was ethernet in the clubhouse. however at 9pm, someone came and said "Time to go!" not "I'm sorry, we are closing at 9" or anything polite... just "time to go!" and... she even questioned whether or not I belonged in the park!!! Also, the dog walk area is a very small area along the chain link fence, all gravel. The entire place is gravel! Trees almost non-existent. Very noisy when people are walking, starting at 5:30 in the morning. Didn't get any sleep after that. And... there is noisy all night from the trains and the street traffic. So... no, would not stay here again, ever. Would not recommend. Would not even recommend this town. Would probably have stayed in Las Cruces, as I had first planned, had I known. especially at this overpriced rate for what we got! one good thing. the showers were clean, fiberglass insert, private.
