The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. This is not a destination park. We have stayed here several times because it's open year around when it's hard to find open parks in the winter this far north. We stay here either on our way south for the winter or on our way home. There is an outlet mall across the highway.
Very well maintained park with friendly hosts. Only drawback (for us, might not be for others) is that it's located about 8 or 9 miles out in the country and over 20 miles from the best shopping and most services.
Onsite owners, are super people who go out of their way to be as helpful as possible and are very welcoming. We have wintered here for several years and consider Rancho Verde our second home. We spend at least two months here each winter. All services, medical and otherwise, are available within 12 miles. There are many nearby attractions. Even Phoenix and the Grand Canyon are nice day trips. Most sites are full hookups but there are around 8 with water & electric only (can be used for tents).
