Absolutely beautiful, very wooded. Nice beach area but parking near beach can become limited, try to take your bikes. This is a wonderful area for those who want to experience nature through camping, biking, hiking, and swimming. Watch out if you have a very large camper, this place is heavily wooded. Check out the bat house at night. Oh, and the fried onion rings in the beachside deli were great, nice and fat!

Very pretty area, river area is beautiful. Some of the sites around the pool are quite open without much shade. Pool was packed with kids. Definitely a family friendly place. Those who want a more child free quiet retreat may want to look elsewhere or at least avoiding setting up near pool area.

Campground and surrounding area is very beautiful. Sites are spacious and clean. Unfortunately, you are met with a list of rules that many of the seasoned campers in our group had never heard of. Rugs must be picked up every night. They actually drive around in the early morning and pick up your rugs and leave you a note. One of our group had his rug picked up and laid across his brand new truck. Not Cool! The second night we rolled the rug up next to our tent. They took our rug. Tents are expected to be moved every 2 nights. With all of the stuff we had in our tents we thought this was extremely unneccessary. Picnic tables should be moved every day. I wonder if owners do this themselves when they have no one in the spot. Actual restrooms were not close by and you were expected to use portable toilets. Now if you have an RV great, but if you are tenting, you may want to look elsewhere. Oh, and watch out for the tubing they offer. A very steep decent to the river with your tubes with no offer of helping us and after you get out of the river you have a pretty lengthy walk with your tubes to the office. Would have been nice to be able to leave the tubes by the river.
