With a former military discount, which I tremendously appreciate, I was pleased to find that $24 a night included sewer! The folks in the office were friendly and helpful. The sites are GRASS, and nice and big. I would stay here again. Quiet and peaceful.

I loved camping at Calico!! The ghost town (complimentary admission with camping) was excellent! Everyone who worked there was friendly. It was kind of cool as I went to the gate, they let me pick out my site and came by later so I could pay. If you have never been here, I would put it on my destination list.

What a wonderful getaway spot. Just 8 miles from Sequoia National Forest (call ahead before going, we had to go back and get chains for snow). Close to Diesel at Shell station too! Nice staff, made me feel like family. I would love to stay and stay. Note, only AT&T devices work in the area! (plus since I don't have AT&T) ha ha

Came to the area to work a contract, from Florida, thought we would stay a couple weeks but just cant leave! We love the staff, helpful, friendly and the park is secure. Need gate pass, Veterans free. Bath house is not heated, but moved to a sewer site once it got too cold. Seems like everyone else who is staying here for more than a weekend is rich, retired, or both! Hoping to keep contract work going, have been here 5 months and want to stay forever!
