We chose this park because of the description on the website and because of its close location to the interstate. We made it across to see an empty parking lot and a restaurant, a small apartment building and what looked like a small parking lot for RV's. There was no place to check in so my husband got out and walked across the lot to the restaurant to find someone. The person in the restaurant called someone from the apartments to check us in. There were about 5 or 6 trailers with no one there. About 3 trees in the middle of a parking lot. There was no showers or toilets, just parking with hookups. Warning, If you have a Motorhome getting across the "tiny bridge can be a nightmare.
I read all the comments about the road to this park and almost passed it by. But as it is really the only campground in the area ( north on rt 77) and it was late afternoon we went for it...Boy, am I glad we did! This is a beautiful campground , beautiful grounds with a pond and a little chapel. Most sites are wooded although ours (a large pull-through ) was in a field setting. I think the comments about the road are a little over exaggerated . Yes, it is a narrow winding road , but it is paved and in good condition. You do have to be careful of the occasionial car coming the other way. We were just there for the night and had a pull through site that was easy in and easy out... This is really a nice campground and I would definitely stay again.
As a previous poster stated, the electric hookup was awful. When on the 50amp our surge protector shut everything down every 2-3minutes. We finally switched to 30amp and turned off our air.The motorhome next to us also had a problem with a 30amp. He called the manager who told him this problem has been going on for a long time and that he has called the power company about it and they told him there is nothing to be done. On the night we stayed we had a big rain storm. At the sewer connection there was a flood and the sewage would not drain. Needless to say disconnecting the hose was not a pleasant undertaking. We figured this problem was why the park has a very unpleasant odor. That and the fact there is a sewage treatment plant next door. Overall terrible experience.
