Park was closed and updated in 2010. Showers and restrooms have new fixtures, and are spotless; also air conditioned. Corps of Engineers need to do a better job of training people who check campers in and out. Obvious that couple working working at this date were not very computer literate. Courteous however. A few sites now have "full hookup" but not down low near the water. Highly recommend this park though. Rate based on Golden Passport rate.

Agree with previous reviewer: 4 restrooms/showers for 200+ campsites is too few. Only the concrete pad sites came with cable TV. Although this campground was clean, etc. I would probably stay at Roosevelt State Park simply because this one is overpriced.

Checked in for an 8 night stay and was not able to use assigned site. Told to take first vacant site. Park officials do not keep up with vacant/occupied sites. Reservation made on 9/4/10 but was told pull through sites were not available over 10/22-23. However counted at least 6 unoccupied sites that could have been utilized. Otherwise this is the best state park in Alabama. Rate reflects senior Alabama Discount not counting 11% tax. Alltell wireless internet connection was excellent.

Corps needs to give more computer training to attendants. One couple could not manage to work a good credit card. New fish cleaning station this year. Shaded sites 115 through 120 give best antenna reception for Columbus, Ga. TV stations. Stayed on Senior Citizen pass, otherwise $20.00 nightly.

Park is located some 4 1/2 miles off of exit 257, interstate 81 on a narrow winding road. Good for an overnight stop. Facilities were on par with most KOAs. Nearest facilities (shopping) are some 10 miles south of the exit.

Good for an overnight stay. I had a 32ft MH and was towing. Overall 46 feet, and had no trouble with the pull through site. Hostess was quite helpful with information on traffic through Atlanta.

Restrooms and showers are clean but in need of updating. Good for an overnight stay, only. The RV emergency repair person recommended by the park could not re-wire a 7/4 wire electrical connection with tow car; even though certified.

Park is located adjacent to PA route 15 bypass. Some road noise. WiFi charges are $5.95 per night. Water slide located in back of park, are 1/2 mile from pull through sites up front. Golf carts: $45. rent for 24 hours. Park is a bit "pricey" because of proximity to Gettysburg. I would try to locate a more reasonably priced campgrund sufficiently in advance of my next visit.

Park is well located for visiting Amish country and Hershey. Use GPS to locate from Interstate. Road into downtown Elizabethtown runs through a low railroad overpass, too low for motorhomes.

Old KOA campground. Office is not open on Sunday, must go to site #8 to find our reservation, the lady was friendly. Would only stay here out of necessity. Fortunately our bath facilities were self contained. No other campground in vicinity of the Tanger outlets.

If you like quiet & solitude; a great park. Campground is 16 miles east of Foley and the Tangier outlet; another five miles from Gulf Shores. Supermarkets and other shops are closer some five miles to the east in Pensacola.
