An update on my last post. There have been new owners take over this campground and have made several changes, none to the good in my opinion. Gone are the weekend pancake breakfasts that were fun. Gone are the childrens rides that they enjoyed along with the wagon rides. Staff has been reduced so no one patrols for noisy partyers. And a fair amount of the big trees that made this park so nice have been taken out to make more spots. The dirt roads are not looked after and everytime a vehicle goes by you get a cloud of dust on you and in your rig. We have been going to this park since our Kids were young and were taking the Grandchildren now so we are very disappointed that our favorite place is not worth going to anymore and we have to look for a new spot As to the washrooms I answered that they were clean but in my opinion certainly not spotless. We will not be returning.
This is a very nice campground. I can't give it a 10 because nothing perfect but this is pretty close in my books. Sites of all sizes lots of shade, very good general store on site with everything in it including a liquor store. Campground has recroom, pool, beach across the road, and little amusment type rides for the litle kids in the evening. Very good and friendly people on staff. If they would improve the washroooms give me 50 channels of cable TV and WIFI I would think that I died and gone to heaven.
Park is situaed near the mouth of the Little Shuswap river and is a stones throw from the Thompson River. It has 14 full service sites and about 25 tent sites. Not a luxury resort by any means but we enjoyed our stay there very much. The campground host was excellent. Washrooms well taken care of and the price was right $20 for full service and $15 for tenting. And one of the benifets of staying here is that you know your money will be put to good use by the Lions Club. Dump site and boat launch on site.
For what you pay you can't expect much. The campground is part of a shopping complex and offers low rates to attract mostly Canadian shoppers to the store. The washrooms are clean and the water is hot. There are electric hookups for every site but no water or sewer. A dump site is on the property and so is potable water. Easy acces to the highway for all sizes of rigs. Great value for the money.
I agree with previous posts this place has probably the narrowest sites I have ever seen. Fee was $30 and we didn't even have a picnic table at our site that is probably because if a table was there you would not be able to open your door. Cable TV is advertised but it is four channels, 3 of them fuzzy. WIFI is available but I had to go to the laundry room to connect. Washrooms were clean and tidy. Not good value for the money I could have stayed at the Casino for free and got just about everything that was offered here.
This campground is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The washrooms and showers were very clean. Wifi was supposed to be available but I was never able to connect from were I was parked. This seems to be the kind of park to go to if you have a big rig and no kids, I felt a little intimidated in my little class C MH. Would stay again if we are in the area.
Very nice park. Washrooms & showers were clean. The one big drawback that I found was that there did not seems to be much for Kids to do there. The sites were somewhat close together and I think that noisy kids parked next to older folks might cause a bit of a problem.
The campground is need of a lot of work. The sites are not very level and when it rains as it did when we were there it is a mudhole. The washrooms looked clean and adequate but were not heated and therefor unusable when we visited. There are other campgrounds in the area that looked very nice and next time we are in the area we will stay in one of those. I paid $13 for the night because I'm cheap and had a half price coupon and I still felt I paid too much.
I stay in this park off and on every summer. It is a older KOA park and it is a little run down but still very servicable. Washrooms are always clean. Sure have seen lots of kids on bikes & scooters so I don't know what the other post means. Always very quiet at night except for some mild road noise from the freeway but not too bad. Probably the best value campground close to Vancouver.
