If you travel I-40 to Cookville or Crossville getting to Fall Creek Falls SP, take Hwy 101 to get south rather than Hwy 127. Hwy 127 is EXTREMELY twisty with tight hairpin turns. Also pack what you need for your stay. No box stores nearby. Fall Creek Falls State Park is a terrific place to get away from the outside world. No TV. No Wi-Fi. Cell service is spotty. But there is so much to do right there. Chattanooga is an easy day trip to Ruby Falls, Inclined Railway, and/or Rock City to name a few great sites. Bring your bicycle to ride miles of paved roads. Great, friendly staff. A very special place.
Very clean, well run campground that is generally very quiet. Wi-Fi is weak but functional. Very clean and well maintained grounds. Level sites with crushed stone, fire ring, and picnic table. Very convenient to Johnson City area and historic Jonesborough. Friendly, welcoming owners/operators. I would stay here again.
Excellent park and easy to find. Beautiful lake, swim beach, and lots of activities. Friendly staff is very professional and helpful. If you're a military veteran, bring proof (DD214, VA ID card, current military ID) to get 15% discount. AAA, Good Sam, and others will get 10% off. Very convenient to Jacksonville, St Augustine, the beaches, and Amelia Island. Competitive rate for a quality campground in Florida in season.
The park is very nice but right on the highway. A bit noisy. Signage is poor and easily missed. This is a problem on the 2 lane highway turning a big rig around. For the price, there should be cable TV and a reliable WiFi network. The operators were very friendly, but did not advise us about the security gate before we arrived. The grounds were clean and tidy. There are no waterfront sites. There are water view sites. The water they mention is the canal outside Lake Okeechobee proper. It is a clean, attractive, and upscale campground for brief stays.
Convenient to nearly all tourist interests. Clean, tidy, full service campground with nice, level sites. Staff was excellent, extremely helpful, spot on with recommendations. Local tours pickup at the office. Camping World on one side and another RV dealer on the other. Quiet and peaceful. Satellite setup was not difficult if you prefer it over cable TV. We would definitely stay here again.
A beautiful, well maintained campground. Paved roads to nice, gravel sites with mowed grass buffers with trees. This was a very pleasant surprise as it is well protected from the road. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Easy access to the interstates. Both pull thru and back in sites available. I will be back soon and again in the future. This is a keeper for sure!
This is a great stop-over campground. Easy to navigate in a big rig. Clean, level, spacious, pull thru sites with nice shade trees. Satellite setup on a tether works. Self register. Not a big campground. Too many "resident" campers with junk everywhere on their sites, rundown RV's. But still a great stop-over convenient to all the essential shopping and the interstate. I would stay here again.
Name changed to MARSHALL JUNCTION RV PARK. Like others have said, the owners are very nice folks. But the condition of our site (#21 because we couldn't get level on #22) was really poor. Sewer connections are all out of position, some broken. Some water connections were broken, not working. The office is an empty restaurant. The laundry worked very well. It is convenient to I-70 and is better than a WalMart parking lot (just a few miles north on Hwy 65) for a brief stop. As it is, don't expect much.
A nice, level campground with easy access to Mitchell, The Corn Palace, and the interstate. Surprisingly quiet. The CG Host/operator was terrific. Friendly, helpful staff all around. Decent grassed space between sites. All the sites were pull-thrus. Convenient to Walmart and other shopping. A real nice place.
A great campground to base your activities in the area from. Level, grassy, spacious sites. Friendly, helpful management. Pick your own site if they're not crowded. Convenient to a marina, shopping, and exploring the area/region. Nicely away from the major roads. Quiet. Would definitely come back.
A wonderful little park in the heart of Ashland. No reservations and no plastic accepted. Cash or check. Self register, very easy. Recommend arriving early afternoon to claim your site. Make sure there isn't a receipt on the post at your site. That tells your someone has it already. The park fills quickly by late afternoon. Sites are open and very level. Easy satellite setup. No big trees in the way. Kids can swim from the lake beach very close by. Can't say enough about Ashland. We were so impressed with this small, but very clean and beautiful downtown district. They have maybe 15 +/- outside building wall murals that are simply amazing! Two ladies did them all over several years. Local restaurants are real nice and people there were so courteous and friendly. It is a great place to stay to get to the Apostle Islands tour if you're towing your car. Enjoy!
Location is suburban Dartmouth. Young adults running it are not knowledgeable about RVs, site requirements (TT vs MH), etc. It was chaotic checking in. Adjacent to Halifax but costly to keep going over the main toll bridge. Would try to stay west or north of Halifax. Sites need leveling. Fine for TT. Not so good for MHs.
Great location! Adjacent to Kennebunkport & Kennebunk, Maine. Easy access for big rigs. Wide shaded sites with a nice space between sites. Excellent camp store and very friendly, helpful management and staff. Nice layout for walking. The best experience over a 2 month trip. Absolutely will return.
Very decent campground. Management is friendly checking in and paying. Rather abrupt otherwise. Wooded sites were very attractive with terraced stone walls. Several group sites too. Adjacent to Wiscasset, Maine. Decent place. Unfriendly operators.
Very clean. Easy to navigate big rigs. Wide sites that should be more level. No Cable! Satellite works great due to no trees. Wi-Fi is sub contracted for a fee which is misleading. Nice laundry facilities. Too far from Bar Harbor to charge what they do.
Just a mile +/- from Hopewell Rocks park. 20 miles from Moncton. They have both shaded/woody and open (field) sites. Most sites were nice and level with good width. Steady breeze makes it very comfortable. Sites for all types of camping too. Just be sure you have all groceries, etc on board as it is a bit of a drive in any direction to dine out or restock. A well stocked camp store for emergency incidentals. Truly enjoyed our stay.
Very convenient to the Cabot Trail, Baddeck, and Sydney. Staff were excellent and quick to assist in any way. Easy access with any rig. Gravel RV pads were a bit narrow. IMHO not a great CG for kids though the pool is there. Would easily stay there again.
Would never attempt to take any motorhome or travel trailer bigger than a pop-up. Roads are horrible, insanely narrow due to large pines that should be removed. Roads are very rough due to large tree roots, buried rock, and loose gravel. Terrain is extremely hilly. Management and staff were very courteous. WiFi was very weak and unprotected. No cable. Satellite impossible due to trees. Only 50 minutes from Newport, RI. Easy access to I-95.
