Very convenient to I-75 at Exit 127. We use this as our stop off on Florida trips. Nice people run this park. Yoders Amish Restaurant is not far away for good food and plenty of it. Bleakley RV is at Exit 122 for solutions to RV problems. Will visit again.
Very old park with paved roads, grass/sand sites and extra cost cable TV and Wi-Fi. "Friendly people" and mostly returning seasonal campers in park models. The electric and water works, and there's not much in the way of restaurants nearby. Nearest Wal-Mart is in Sebring about 15 miles north. Very quiet at night which is wonderful. Many park activities including hot dogs on Tuesday for lunch.
This is a very old KOA that was bought by Morgan RV Resorts. They intend to refurbish the place and it needs it! Found the electric post would not put out a true 50 amps, the voltage was 113 volts and went down to 108 volts as we put a load on the service. It eventually burned out the electric heating element in our hot water heater. Long way to go to get groceries, Publix and Winn Dixie are at Marathon about 22 miles south. Wal-Mart is at Florida City which could be a day's drive. Very friendly staff and super helpful. Good restaurants for seafood in Key Colony Beach and at Marathon. Wonderful Sunset's from this park, take your camera.
This place is gorgeous and brand new! Spacious sites, all are back-in and you have to meet restrictions to get in so you will have great neighbors. No trailers, 5th wheels or tents and your rig has to be 35 feet or larger. The park was started by Monaco Coach before the RV shakeout and was then bought by Morgan RV Resorts who finished it. Everglades are close, beaches are not far and super restaurants close also. Great shopping and even a Wal-Mart for those so inclined. Very friendly staff and they seem to encourage a return visit, which we will likely do.
This park is operated by the City of Greenville and they do a wonderful job. It is located about 3 miles off I-65. Set your odometer when you see the sign, miss the left turn into the park and you will drive 15 more miles to find a turn around. There is 50 amp service with sewer, water and wi-fi that actually works without passwords! Very quiet at night and close to wally world and Bates House of Turkey for lunch or early dinner. Cash or check, no plastic taken.
This RV park has really gone down since Katrina. The road in is very rough and most sites are under water with the slightest rain. We were not able to get wi-fi though the manager said the Geek Squad was working on it. Lot's of room to roam or shop nearby and after all this park is in the heart of some of the best food in Louisiana (try Southside Cafe on Ponchatrain Rd.)
Very nice park, all concrete pads and roads. Good Wi-Fi service, cable TV and morning newspaper if your up early. Easy access to US 59 and not a bad drive to most of Houston and surrounding area. We went out to Brenham to tour Blue Bell Ice Cream and loved it. Friendly owner and manager who are happy to answer all your questions.
Wonderful facility, these folks really know how to run an RV park. All concrete pads and roads with easy access to I-10 in both directions. Good restaurants nearby (try Floyd's for Cajun) and good Wi-Fi reception. Used Passport America for rate. Will definitely return when we are in Texas.
Our rate was based on monthly stay. The staff is super friendly and access is very easy from both I-76 and I-71. The newer sites are pull through and wifi is good from them. There is no cable so make sure you can handle air TV or satellite. Summer weekends are rowdy and very noisy with owners turning a deaf ear to all the activity even after hours. There is very little concern for those seasonal people when the weekend crush starts. The park water is from a well and contains very Hard minerals that fouled our water heater, so use a softener if your going to camp here for any length of time.
Easy access from I-10 and very convenient to the Gulf Coast. Most sites are grass and streets are broken up making large motorhome / 5th wheel access dicey. Staff notified us that payment would be in cash or 3% would be added to nightly rate if we used a credit card. No mention of this when I made the reservation.
