This is a great place to camp! T he casino is just an added bonus! All roads and sites are paved. Sites are pretty level. They have a few premium sites that are nice, with a fence that gives you privacy from your neighbor and a swing to enjoy as well. Well kept and clean. 24 hour security and you actually see them! Nice pool if you bring the kiddo's and a there is a movie theater inside the casino! They also have cabins if you have family members that don't have campers. You can ask for a cabin adjacent to a campsite. All campgrounds should be like this one. Great place to stay!
This is a nice park! It is also a huge park! We had a premium site which was worth the extra money. The staff was extremely helpful. The big building where the pools, cafe, restrooms, showers and laundry were located, was great! You could shower, then put your clothes in the laundry, catch something to eat at the cafe while waiting for clothes to wash and dry. Coming from a small town in Louisiana where we don't have cabs, buses and trains for transportation, it was a bit scary for us to catch a bus to the metro to union station etc., but we learned all about it on the first day and by the second day, we were pros! The campground offers a tutorial on how to get around D.C. Don't miss that, because the info was so helpful! This campground has everything you need. It is a highly used park but well kept. We would definitely come here again!
Stayed here just for overnight and that was too long. We were on our way back to Louisiana from a trip all the way up the East Coast and this was the worst campground of the 10 we stayed at. And the junkyard right before the entrance is not too encouraging! Pull through sites had broken slabs making it hard to level the motorhome. While we were doing dishes the water cut off. They advertised a new laundry and when we got there they said it was out of order? Sorry--not a nice park.
The train! OMG! The Train! This is such a sweet little campground but you're between a highway and A TRAIN TRACK! Sites too narrow and not level at all--but a clean campground and pretty good location. But THE TRAIN! Very nice and helpful staff. Nice pool and bathhouses, but THE TRAIN!
This is a great park! Sites 331, 333, 335, 337 are great sites! We stayed on 337 and the mountain was right behind the motorhome! There are two bath houses in that area; use the newer one. The older one needs to be updated but the laundry connected to the older bath house was fine. If you have kids you will want to stay closer to the pool and sites 91 & 93 are wonderful! Sites 1-92 are nice if you only need 30 amps. I don't advise any pull throughs as they are made a bit strange. This is a highly used park! It's set up has more of a state park feel! Stone Mountain was great. We were 4 adults and enjoyed our stay very much! Take the duck boat ride as the driver will point out other things to see within the compound. I can't wait to go back one day with my grandchildren!
THE TRAIN!!! If you want to get a good nights sleep or any sleep at all do not stay here! Although the campground is nice and the staff is nice and the creek is nice THE TRAIN is not nice! If it wouldn't be for THE TRAIN we would give it a 9, but the sites are also very close and they pack you in there so tight getting in and out may be a challenge. If you can handle THE TRAIN and you only need 30 amp ask for a creekside site--they are just like in the pictures! 50 amp across the street from those are OK and better than the sites in the front of the office. Super nice and clean bath house and laundry. WI-FI was in and out. We stayed here to visit the Biltmore House but would not stay here again. We like to sleep and with THE TRAIN you'll get none of that! And the conductor sure likes his HORN!!!! I think he blows it knowing that he's waking everyone up at the campground and probably laughing all the way down the tracks!!!!
This is a clean, nice park. We stayed here overnight. It was very easy on & off Interstate. Nice bath house and laundry. Ask for a site where the sun won't be facing your awning. Pool for kids but not much else to do here. Overall nice campground.
This is an OK park. Clean, nice staff, and good location for Hershey Park. Sites are level but a little tight but you have a lot to choose from. Great if you are traveling with kids. There is a train and you do hear it. If you want a park just for sightseeing Amish country-- stay at Conewago.
We stayed here for an overnight stay while traveling. A diamond in the rough! Very nice staff. We camped in a 36 ft motorhome towing and had no problems. The little creek behind almost every site was sweet! This was a quiet campground and wished we had found more like it on our trip.
OK park but sandy sites. Sites were also pretty tight. Easy on & off to Interstate and not far to Savannah. Only bath house was at front of park, but clean and laundry as well. OK if only staying to visit Savannah or an overnight stay. Some real nice sites to the front of the campground.
I have to agree with the other reviewer about some good and some bad. First complaint on my list would have to be the "New York City Bus Tour!" You have your plans made and tickets purchased ($99.00 per person), and you think you're good to go. What they don't tell you is if there's not at least 14 people to take the tour, you're not going anywhere! Our tour was cancelled from a beautiful sunny 72 degree day, to a rainy (100% rain) 50 degree day. It rained ALL DAY LONG! New York City is 1 & 1/2 hours from this park! If your plans are to stay at this campground for the New York City Tour, don't do it! Go to the Liberty Harbor Campground where you can go into the city when you want to go. If you are just looking to camp: then this is an OK place with a very nice staff, clean bathrooms, nice laundry and make sure to venture out and see the area.
Wow--I read other reviews of this campground on trip advisor and I'm confused! We stayed here in May 2009. We were 2 large motorhomes (36ft) towing cars. We spent our first night in Memphis on our way to Nashville. We didn't have reservations for Two Rivers because we decided at the last minute to go on to Nashville. We had no Internet service at the campground in Memphis but I remembered seeing this campground online before we left home and found it in my GPS. I got the number and made two reservations that same morning (with no problem). We were extremely satisfied with everything! The location is the best! The staff as well as the maintenance man was sooo helpful! The price was great for 50amp service, free Internet access, clean bathhouses and laundry, and we were able to get great tickets at the campground with great seating for everything we went there to see. We felt safe and the park was very quiet which was important to us. This is not an RV "resort". It is just a nice clean campground to stay while seeing Nashville. We would stay here again and please don't let the other reviews scare you away from Two Rivers. We highly recommend this place!!
This is a great place to stay! We did the whole Memphis thing, Graceland, Beale Street, Sun Studios, and the BBQ Festival. We were in the middle of everything! We checked out the other area campgrounds with a drive thru pass(which were more expensive and smaller spaces) we were so happy that we choose T.O. Fuller State Park. There was no sewage but the bath-houses were so clean with private "lock the door showers" a great laundry room and free Ice, and being handicapped the price was only $16.00 a nite. Since we stayed 5 nights it turned out to be a great deal at a great park. Round the clock security and a ranger that stays in the campground made our stay quite pleasant! All state park campgrounds could learn a thing or two from this one!
