Nightly rate based on monthly rate. The Blue Lagoons RV Resort managers took over the park last March, and they are very friendly. The rest of the staff is friendly, too. The resort has paved roads. The turns are a little tight, but the staff escorts you to your site and helps you park. The sites are also paved. AT&T signal is hard to get at the front of the resort, but we can get a signal back by the maintenance shed. The bathrooms are very clean, and so is the pool. Blue Lagoons is a 55+ park in late fall and winter. A lot of their winter crowd are repeat customers that have been coming for years. In the late spring and summer, they are a family park. Everyone seems very friendly, we will stay again.
Friendly staff with quick check in. Wide paved roads with gravel sites. The overnight guests are in a different section of the campground which is close to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were very clean. We had great AT&T signal. The cable and wi-fi were good. There is construction on the way to the campground but easy enough to maneuver. It is right off I-10, so there is some road noise. We would stay here again.
What a pleasant surprise. The Office and outside staff were very friendly. The pull through overnight site was level and large enough to park our truck, fifth wheel and a second truck. The roads are paved but sites are gravel. Plenty room to maneuver. AT&T signal and cable was good. Wi-Fi available at the office. The bathrooms were very clean. The night we arrived they were having a potluck at the clubhouse which followed with a country singer for entrainment. We enjoyed our stay and will return.
The staff is friendly but that is where the good comments end. Park is very rundown, dirt and gravel roads. Pull through sites but they are tight and you have to dodge the boulders around the site. Dog and rabbit waste everywhere. Poor or nonexistent AT&T and Wi-Fi signal. The cable TV service is very snowy. The pool was closed. Do yourself a favor and stay in one of the nicer RV parks closer to Interstate 10, and drive the 20 miles into Tombstone.
Great place to overnight. Large level gravel pull through sites. Very clean bathrooms. The office staff was very friendly. Wi-Fi is very good and AT&T signal was very good. No restaurants within walking distance but several one exit away (about 3 miles). It was cool staying in an orange grove but the oranges will not be ripe until the end of December. We will stay here again when we travel through.
The host and his staff makes the park special. They are enthusiastic, helpful and friendly. The CG has gravel roads and level grassy sites, long enough to accommodate big rigs and their tow behind vehicles (Easy in and out). Close to the Okefenokee, Cumberland Island, Jekyll Island and Jacksonville (Jacksonville has a good zoo). Wi-Fi was OK. AT&T cell service is good. Not much shade but easy to hit a satellite. CG, bathrooms and pool were very clean. The nightly rate reflects a month stay. We will miss the Sunday Potluck dinners. We look forward to staying again.
Grassy RV Sites, easy pull throughs. Good for overnight stay. Friendly staff. No shade (could be hot in the summer). Wi-Fi was OK. Pretty level sites with good hookups, easy in and out. Clean bathrooms.
RV park has gravel sites, easy back in. Nice shady spots and with family atmosphere and friendly staff. A little road noise in the front of the park and you can here a distance train (but we love the sound of a distance train). Bathrooms were very clean but would like to have a door on the bathroom stall instead curtain. Wi-Fi was OK, not great. Nice walking trail around the lake (would been nice if they didn't dump the leaves on the other side of the lake). The rate reflects monthly rate.
The positives are that the park is easy to enter, packed gravel roads and most the sites are pull through sites. Also the sites are very large and level (we where able to park our utility trailer and another car on the same site). The negatives are the staff is not very friendly. The bathrooms were not cleaned daily or weekly. Wi-Fi is available for a charge but it drops out several times a day. They have a fire ant problem, so you will need to spray for ants if you are planning an extended stay. During our stay there were several nights that the group around the fire pit got loud, intoxicated and were swearing (if you plan an extended stay, don't stay close to the fire pit). The nightly rate reflects the monthly rate. We paid for a month but left a week early because we were so disappointed.
We would rate this park as a 10 if the Wi-fi was more reliable. The staff is very friendly. The resort is clean, beautiful, and well maintained. The spa really hits the spot after a long day of driving.
We stayed at this park for 3 weeks while my wife finished up her work. It was a good park for short stays. It gets very hot in summer. The baseball park is just down the hill, and you get a nice fireworks show on weekends when the Barons are in town. There is much to do close by. We well stay here again when in Birmingham for a short visit.
