This is a lovely park located east of the tourist insanity of Gatlinburg (i.e., it's quiet) but still close to all the area attractions. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They provided us with a very informative list of area attractions, including good descriptions of various hiking trails in Great Smoky Mountain National Park. On our last morning, we had a bad problem with our landing gear as well as a tire issue and they helped us out so we could safely hit the road. We would definitely stay here again.
This is one of the loveliest parks we have ever visited. The office staff came out to greet us before we were even out of our vehicle and we were taken on a tour of the park so we could pick our site. We grabbed the first site we were shown, backing onto a little creek beside a little waterfall. Heaven listening to the trickling water while enjoying a campfire. There is no tv or phone reception so if you're a technology junkie this might not be your favorite spot but we loved the huge trees, large park with equally large sites, waterfront location and proximity to Sedona. We also got better wifi reception than i expected from reading prior reviews, although our site was close to the repeater and the park was fairly empty during our stay. The office has a large DVD library for loan. This park also has the cleanest bathrooms and showers we have ever seen in a park. We would definitely stay here again.
Only stayed for a night while travelling south during the off season but we were given a more than adequately sized site after receiving an extremely friendly welcome by the lady in the office. She asked about our future travel plans and gave us a number of brochures for other states we plan to visit. She also led us to our site, which was a level pull-through, making for an easy set-up and quick departure the next day. The rate included cable with more than 60 channels and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The location is walking distance to restaurants but also very quiet. We backed onto a pasture with grazing horses. We would stay here again.
Cute, tidy little park that is obviously very family friendly. Lots of cute toys and amusements for children. The owner was very nice and advised that since our site was small and our unit is large, she would avoid putting anyone next to us so we could use the adjoining site to park our tow vehicle. The park borders a beautiful nature preserve with miles of walking paths and we encountered deer as soon as we were out the gates. Our spot would have been a bit tight for a long stay or if the next door spot had been occupied but it made for a lovely overnight on our way to Calgary.
Beautiful COE park with miles of hiking trails and water access for boating and fishing. Our site was huge, beautifully treed and extremely comfortable. Lots of bugs so remember the bug spray and mosquito coils. There are no water or sewer hook-ups, but potable water is available for filling your tanks and a dump station is located just down the road from the park.
Large grass sites, full hook-ups, well maintained. Located on the edge of Jamestown, this park is adequate, with a nice walking path around the perimeter for exercise or walking your dog. Our site was large, the office staff were friendly, the park is off the highway enough so traffic noise isn't an issue at night. Our only complaint is we love campfires and fires were not allowed on the RV sites, which was hard to understand due to the size of the sites and fires being allowed in the tenting areas.
Rate is for full hook-ups. Tidy park with large sites and easy big rig access. We arrived fairly late in the afternoon on a weekday during the off season so the office was closed, but there was an intercom to access the office, which quickly provided someone to check us in. The lady who assisted us was very friendly, we were given a lovely site and enjoyed a walk of the grounds. While a number of the amenities were closed, it was apparent this park has lots of activities to amuse families during the regular season and we were told if we wanted to use anything, just to ask and it would be opened for us. Prior reviews have complained about noise from a nearby racetrack but we didn't find it to be a problem. We would stay here again without hesitation.
Rate based on a monthly rate. Very clean and well organized park, with excellent laundry facilities. Located on a hillside overlooking the Bow River on the edge of Cochrane. This park is an excellent location for visits to Calgary or exploring Canmore and Banff. While this is not Alberta wilderness camping, it provides a nice mix of facilities for big rigs while also having a lovely riverside walkway just outside the park, which is also an off-leash dog friendly area. The sites aren't huge but were sufficient for our 40' fifth wheel with 4 slides, while also providing enough room for multiple family members around the campfire. Sites are level, with gravel for parking, a decent sized lawn area, fire pit and virtually new picnic table. Sites are separated by hedges and the entire park was beautifully maintained. The park has a gate that closes at 11 p.m. on the dot, but there is ample safe parking right across the road at a large recreation centre should you arrive back at the park after the gate closes. Calgary is a 15 minute drive east, Canmore is 30 minutes west, making this park an excellent location for the many wonderful attractions of southern Alberta.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, not only regarding the park but also providing information, tips and discount tickets to attractions in the area. The park is the closest to Colonial Williamsburg. Our site size was reasonably sized, even with our large unit and was tidy. Our only complaint was it could have been a bit more level, but we managed. The train tracks are next to the park and trains do go by, but that did not bother us. We would camp here again.
Fabulous location, right on the beach in the heart of Myrtle Beach. The sites on the beach are small but that's to be expected. We still had room to set up our fire pit even with our large fifth wheel and truck on the site. The office staff were friendly and very efficient. I had trouble getting on the wifi but, to be fair, I didn't go back to the office to ask for help. The park is connected to a very long pier and campers are provided with free passes to it, which is a nice perk. We didn't eat at the on site restaurant but the people across from us highly recommended it. With miles of beach to walk and lots of golf nearby, we very much enjoyed our stay here. We would stay at this park again.
The office area and adjoining clubhouse were really nice. The office staff at check in were friendly and efficient. Our site was small but adequate and reasonably okay to get into with our large fifth wheel. The Wi-Fi was great. Our only complaint was some of the park was a bit sketchy. Some of the units were obviously long term, not in great shape and we were concerned when we saw a boy of about 12 in the unit next to us wandering the park with a gun. It may have just been a BB-gun, but since that was reportedly not allowed, we reported it to a staff member on site, but he tried to downplay our concerns. After seeing the same boy the next day again wandering around the park with the gun, we cut our trip visit short and moved on. We would not likely stay here again except perhaps for an overnight enroute elsewhere.
The park is well located, right across the street from the beach. Our site was large, clean and well treed. The office staff was friendly and efficient. We had no trouble parking our 40' rig on our back in site and had lots of room around it. The Wi-Fi was great as was the cable TV. We didn't use any of the rec facilities, but they looked great. We would camp here again.
Stayed one night while driving to Florida. Arrived after 9 pm and had no problem checking in, with an "honor" system of placing the fee in an envelop in a mail slot at the office. The sites were large with lots of large trees. A lovely touch was the Christmas light display in the park, which was animated with accompanying music broadcast over a radio station. The bathrooms were convenient and very clean. We would camp here again.
Check in was quick and the office staff was friendly and pleasant. Our pull through site was an average size but was easy to get into. Our site and the entire park was very neat and tidy. The pool and surround are small but nice and clean. The Wi-Fi is a bit tricky to connect to, but once you figure it out seems to work okay. Cable TV would be a nice feature to add for a longer stay, but since we were only here for a couple of days we were fine with just the regular stations we could pick up with our antenna. Well located for access to Charleston and nearby attractions. We would stay here again.
The office staff was friendly and helpful, guiding us to our site and ensuring we were safely parked. Our site was large, grassy and had a nice shade tree. The park had lots of trees and was tidy. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice, as did the laundry facility. The fishing dock was long with quite a few guys fishing. (Bug spray is wise before heading to the dock.) The bathhouse is not the prettiest, but with a fifth wheel we didn't need it. The Wi-Fi was great as was the cable TV. With quick access to Savannah, this was a perfect spot to enjoy the city. We would camp here again with pleasure.
