You couldn't squeeze -em any closer together. Very cramped, Mostly elderly and many canadians speaking French that are not friendly. Sites 1-64 have the glare of bright lights from the back of the mall right next door. Every 3 days the dumpsters are emptied and wakes you up at 5am. Their is a firestation just north and the sirens blare all times at night on calls. Staff was unfriendly especially male tenders. The good points its clean and has a nice, nice pool. Very nice pads.
One of my top parks to stay at. The ocean, playground, pier fishing, bait & tackle store, bike trails. For me its just the atmosphere its camping all types, tents, pull campers, motorhomes, 5th wheels, everything and more here, Everyone has a great time especially the family. Kids have the ocean and its a great beach with life guards. Some of the pads are a little off-level but ok for me . You can catch a shuttle to the daily cruise ship that has gambling, the campground is right next to Kennedy space center. the cruise ships go bye on the ocean outlet and you can wave to the people. Weekends are busy I have found . I have camped here for 3 years . the camp store is great!. Everything was clean . There is alot of dust from the roads. Security patrols and immagration patrols were regular sites. I love it here; good fishing.
I love this park , the ocean, the cruise ships going by on the inlet, the pier, walking the beach, the bait shop, and beach house, biking trail around the campground, Surf fishing, pier fishing, the atmosphere is great! If you like family camping, kids go crazy and there is a lot of locals outside the park along the inlet and taking advantage of the outdoor pavilions. Busy most weekends and it clears out, Easter is the busiest week I found I have stayed here many times March and in April. Cape Canaveral is next door , you can catch a ride and get escorted to the gambling cruise ship twice daily right inside the park! The park is back in the states hands , and some improvements are being made, Limited full hookups, lots of tent sites , some pads mostly gravel sites with trees, big rigs , small rigs, campers, truck campers, pop-ups anything goes its great with great people. Clean is the word in the restrooms and showers, laundry too! The only problem I encounter each time is people drive to fast in the park go the wrong way on a one way street and the dust from the roads is bad at times. There is too much to list, check out the web site through the Port Canaveral site.
My original reserved back in site was way in the back along a residential fence in the mud. I complained and was given a pull thru for $5 more a night. My 34 foot motorhome barely fit in a pull thru site. Site was uneven , but nicely paved. Vegetation is nice, animals are every where including pesky mallard ducks panhandling constantly, all day. Lots of birds, turtles. Staff was very unfriendly along with workers. Overpriced to say the least. Public Beach on the Ocean is mile and 1/2 away which was the nice. I've stayed here 2 years in a row but the price is way too high now.
Our site was near the sewage plant which is really in the middle of the park. The pumps ran constanltly day and night. The water was brown every morning at about 8-9am. This campground is has a lot of permanents, and the others here are late middle age , early retirmenent partiers. The pad I was on had major cracks . A drunk person walking around is not uncommon as the bar is open early and closes late. The pool was very clean. People were friendly. Jupiter beach is 7 miles away . I would never stay here again unless an emergency.
