My wife and I stayed here two weekends in a row we liked it so much! Very woodsy with lots of trees. The beach area was nice and clean and had a "grove" like atmosphere because of the picnic tables and tall pines right at the sand. Everyone we met were very friendly. Good fishing and activities for the kids.

This was our third year in a row here. It is an absolute bargain if you want to be at the beach. Legitimately walkable. The very end of the Merrimack river ends here, and prior to the ocean beach you have a beautiful river beach with plenty of sand. This is a great place for easy biking as the roads are tarred and dead flat. My wife was kicking herself that she didn't take her bike, but I and the little ones brought ours! We camped in a 17' Hybrid Trailer. I gave this place an 8 instead of a 10 because there is no shade (you are at the beach) and there are virtually no activities; although there are some nature programs and plenty of boating and fishing right here at the park, and nice playground for the little ones. Also there is plenty to do in Salisbury, Hampton Beach is about 10 miles to the north and Newburyport is 10 miles to the South! We camped with two adults and two children ages 6 & 7. We love this place and will be back again next year!!!

The reason that I didn't give this place a 10 is because it could use some more activities. They only had them on Wednesday & Saturday. The camp sites are huge and private with the largest natural fire pits I've ever seen. Our back rock was 6 feet high and I saw others that over 8 feet high! The had a great snack bar that was actually a small restaurant right at the swimming pool. The swimming pool was huge with a gigantic pirate ship that had water canons a small water slide a larger water slide. The have a very well stocked store with friendly employees. The kids spent hours and hours at the fishing pond. They also have excellent hiking trails with a natural swimming hole. Some of these trails go right into the White Mountain National Forest! We camped in a Hybrid Trailer and a large tent. Three adults and 4 kids 2 1/2 - 6 years of age and they kept us busy! This place is not the cheapest, but it was worth every penny. We can't wait to go again!!!!
