We chose this park based on previous ratings and its proximity to Arches and Canyonlands and it served as a very convenient base camp. Yes, it is a glorified gravel parking lot, but I guess I expected that in the desert. The pool is small, but enough for the kids to get wet in after a long day of hiking. The WiFi was intermittent, especially in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped 3 nights.
Staying at Watchman was the highlight of our two week trip! The kids loved playing in the nearby Virgin River and the view of the Watchman was spectacular! The campground is walking distance from the best grocery store in town. It is also walking distance from the visitor's center and central shuttle pick up/drop off area. We stayed in site A8 and the site was spacious and level, but offered little shade. Can't wait to go back again.
Nice small park with shady sites. Even though it is located behind a convenience store/gas station it still felt like a campground. Only 5 minutes from Bryce Canyon, but a much more peaceful environment than Ruby's. Negatives were that the wifi and pool are 1/4 mile down the road at the motel, and that the showers are scalding when the toilet is flushed!
