Our second stay in the park, lots of trees. Some permanent residents, but they are kept nice. Right off I-75 and close to shopping/restaurants. Husband used shower facilities, and he said they were fine. Don't know about laundry facilities. Most sites are pull-throughs, and some have a concrete patio alongside the pad site. Our site did not, and rule is that you cannot put anything like a rug on the ground. We stayed here 4 nights.
Got in late (9:30 p.m.) without a reservation, and security guard arrived quickly at the office area and took us to a site. It was a back-in, and it took only about 5 minutes for him to direct my husband into the site. Lots of permanent residents, and outside areas are not very neat. But location was great. They had a very nice playscape area for kids. Pool area looked okay. Did not check out the lake area, laundry rooms or showers. Husband used shower facilities, so guess it was okay. Nice office staff. We stayed for 3 nights, but probably would not stay here again except for overnight.
We stayed here a week to visit the Savannah area. There are some permanent residents, and for the most part, they are neat and most are in the same area. There are 2 sections to the park. We stayed in the area closest to SC 204, so you do get a little road noise. Some sites had cement pads, but ours was just sand/dirt and surprisingly level. Nice shade tress, but you must put out your awning to avoid the falling acorns if you sit outside. Although little, they sound like a rock when they fall on your roof!!! Husband used the shower facilities; he said there was a button that he had to keep pushing to keep the water flowing. Good laundry, was able to dry clothes for $1. Pool looked nice and clean. Good local store. Don't waste your time at the flea market near the Wal-Mart, what a mess. Nice Camping World Store about 5 miles north on I-95. Nice golf course just on the other side of I-95; get info at the park office. Would stay here again.
