Very well maintained, clean fully functioning facilities. A bit eerie for us pulling in late to be the only campers, but high summer on a weekday is off season as it is the desert and hot. Great amenities with 2 lakes with fish, an Observatory, programs available on weekends, and a decent little visitor's center. Then there is the amazing 3 plus dunes it is named for. The kids went "sand boarding" and had a great time on the dunes on rented boards. Good facility and a gem of a find for our "breather day"
Services provided as promised. Sites very tight for space. We fit, but just. No Awning room. It was the only full hook up in busy Yellowstone. Prices high, but only option. Only real complaint was the site space. It was as warned it would be. We would return if in Yellowstone.
Immaculate friendly park. Staff helpful, with good communications about park. Laundry and bathroom very clean. Rules to the campsite sensibly applied. Nice grass, good hookups, good park. Restaurant menus and town info was helpful. We enjoyed the river access behind the park. Kids tubed in the river pool and we fly fished the mainstream of the river. A decent fly shop next door is a great amenity. Liked the park and the town.
Handsome, upscale park. Sadly struggling with basics. Dirty bathrooms later in day, repeatedly. WiFi is non existent more than 100yds from central building. Sewer hook up is in odd location on sites causing trailers to require multiple hoses to reach it. Nice staff, store, but booking done with length requirements not fulfilled on arrival. No room for tow vehicle on site offered.
This park is immaculate. It has cabins, a small hotel, an ice cream parlour and offers exactly what is promised. We found the park to be clean, the staff polite and interactive. We noticed that while many of the sites are bare earth, they are level, raked and clean. The garbage can is emptied on your site. It is well thought out and has a whimsical theme in the park. For example there is no dust on the park roads because they are packed round stone gravel not dusty crush. It is a bit out of town but that puts it closer to the Caves Monument. The only reason it did not get 10 is the lack of grass. Will happily return if we go out that way.
VERY helpful staff, Good KOA camp, clean, spacious site, BR's Clean and new. No Fire ring on our site, a portable fire pit was brought out, once noticed. Above average service, and a credit to the KOA chain.
Very crowded high density park. Sewer hook ups far from spot, 2 hose lengths required. Surprisingly confrontational management. Very in my face about my dog sitting at my feet off leash at my camp. Previously not helpful regarding sewer hook up issue. Stark contrast to other Holiday trails facilities. Staff kept clean orderly site. Unfortunately their nature was better suited to running a correctional facility.
