This is an excellent park for a single night or extended stay. The sites are very large and flat. It is minutes away from shopping and anything you might need. The owner is friendly and very helpful. We recommend this park to everyone coming this way. Note - the check-in is now towards the back right side of the park and not the building as you enter. We love the new rates.
This is a fairly new park but is well laid out with good size sites. The rate for 50 amps is $28. The laundry has two washers and two dryers which are brand new and work perfectly. The manager is very nice and was helpful with local directions. The park rules are very simple but we noticed some of our fellow travelers are still inconsiderate and do not pick up after their pets. These kind of pet owners make it difficult for those who do take care and will eventually cause parks to refuse pets. The short road in from the highway is a little narrow but in good shape. We gave this park a 8 plus.
This is a new park and looks like it will be just wonderful when totally completed. The sites are huge and the laundry facilities are free. It is just off the highway but far enough not to be bothered by noise. There is a adult spa and a kiddy pool, exercise room and activities room. The owner seems intent on providing the best for RVers and so far seems to be doing a great job. I gave the park a 9 only because it is not totally completed at this time.
This is a great park and right near the highway so easy to get to Sedona and Jerome and all the other interesting sights. The sites were a good size and there was a area in the back of the park where you could walk your pet. The park was very clean and the garbage was picked up each morning from in front of your RV. The people in the office were very helpful.
We really liked this park. The site we had was quite large and we had lots of room for our 40 ft. RV with 4 slides out. The dog park was in good shape and bags provided. (I do apologize to the owners for other dog owners who still don't clean up after their pets. Here is a campground that provides a safe run for you pet plus bags and they are still too lazy to take care of their own mess). The park was quiet and the owners friendly. We will stay here again when in Flagstaff.
We loved this park. We booked for three months and stayed an additional 2 weeks. There is so much to do and everyone is so friendly. It was necessary to wear name tags when in the park facilities but that worked out great as you met so many people it was easier to remember names. We were in the pet section of the park and found that the dog parks within the park were well maintained and large. Having the capability to make a phone call between the sites (at no charge) was really convenient. Should we get back to Arizona we are sure to spend time here.
This campground is really not a campground. The parking is on large curb areas within the park. There is a dump station and 50 amp service at sites. Almost all of the sites are in the trees. It is, however, a great location for camping while doing a wine tour. The camp host was most helpful.
I would have given this park a higher rating if it were not for the mud. November is rainy and the whole park is a wet. It is in a good location for touring the valley and the Passport America price of $10 per night is sure great but I guess that is why we put up with the dirt. There are no signs on your way to this park so have your directions when you start out. The laundry room consists of only two washers and dryers for such a large park. I think once it has grass or drainage of some sort it will be quite nice but expect if it is full the spots will be tight for the larger RVs.
The park is on a busy road and is an older park but the owners are in the process of making some changes. We had a site backing onto the grass and close to the water. The park is a bit cramped for large rigs but the sunset view is wonderful. The train noises were not a problem. It is almost in town and next door to the Vernon tourism office. Good location.
A great little campground. Walking distance to town, grocery store, laundry and restaurants. It is right next to the Sheep River and there are great walking paths. The staff are very helpful and everyone seems friendly. We will stay here again on our next trip.
The campground itself is nice but if you are in a large RV and are in one of the smaller shared sites it is a bit cramped. Right now the roads are horrible and the pot holes are big enough to lose a small child. I have a real problem with the reservation service. If you call ahead to reserve a site you pay a reservation fee. Then if you decide to extend your stay you must move to a different site that is not one that can be reserved over the phone. They also do not tell you that the park is right next to the train tracks and that the train blows its horns night and day as it passes. It is also right next to a beautiful river so if you can sleep through the train noise and ford the potholes it is a beautiful park.
We stayed for a week so our rate was a bit less than the previous entry. This is a great campground. The sites are large and there are paved walking paths everywhere. If you have a dog you will just love this park as there is a huge walking and off leash area right next to the park. The laundry is $2 for a wash or dry which I thought was a little expensive but the facilities are clean and new. Should we be back this way we will stay here again.
We stayed here for two days on our way west. The park is very easy to find and the sites were all a good size. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The laundry was very clean and well priced. We met some great people there. We will visit again when back this way.
We are giving this campground a low rating because our 40 Ft RV was scratched by trees when entering the park. The campground seems quite nice but not for a large RV. The management apologized but the scratches are still there.
This park has new owners who are making some improvements to the park. There is a view of Davey Lake from pretty much all of the campsites and a huge walking trail next to the park. The new owners are very friendly and accommodating. The store is small but has all of the necessities. The laundry is clean and the sites are quite large with lots of room to accommodate the big rigs. Each site has a fire ring and wood is available at the office. You can swim in the lake but there is no lifeguard on duty. We will stay here again when in the area.
A well kept park very close to town. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The sites are large and each has a fire ring. There are many full time residents but all seem friendly. We will visit here again when in the area. They are also a Passport America member so our actual rate was only $15.
This is a very friendly park. The sites are a good size and can accommodate the larger rigs. There are a few sites that have 50 amp but most are 30. When we arrived we were escorted to our site and assisted with parking. The campground is on the outskirts of town but everything is accessable. There is a fruit stand in the park and across the street a convience store/gas station. There were children in the park but it is basically the 50+ crowd and it is advertised as a Adult Travel Resort. The park also has a large pond, clubhouse, exercise room, shuffleboard, pool tables, horseshoe pits and scheduled activities
