This is a nice park - easy to navigate, roomy spaces and very friendly staff. The waffles and coffee were a nice treat. Wi-Fi worked well, as did the cable and other utilities. If I had to complain about something it would be that it is a bit pricey, and I really don't understand why some campgrounds feel the need to charge extra for kids. We would stay here again.
Nice campground, close to many area attractions. Spaces are a bit tight, but not too bad. Plenty of shade and the pool is nice. Utilities were good and Wi-Fi worked well. This campground does charge extra for children, which I think is a ridiculous practice.
This is a very nice park. Spaces are concrete, have plenty of room and are fairly level. No complaints about the utilities. Pool was very clean. Not much shade, but we knew that and the trees will eventually get big enough. The only issue keeping me from giving this campground a rating of 10 is the Wi-Fi - had trouble keeping a connection, and when we got one it was incredibly slow. We would definitely stay here again.
This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. Nice wide spaces, long pull throughs, mostly level, and plenty of shade. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Wi-Fi, cable TV and utilities were all good. The kids enjoyed the lake and playground. Extremely helpful and friendly owners. We will definitely be staying here again.
Friendly staff and well kept grounds, but the spaces were so narrow that I was not able to open my awning. Had to wake up the people next to me at 6am to ask them to put their awning up before I left or I would have hit it. The Wi-Fi was also so weak that it was unusable.
Overall a nice campground. Spots were not big, but offered enough room to be comfortable. The pull-throughs are nice and long, with fairly level concrete pads. Not much shade and the playground could use some work. Wi-Fi was flaky.
Nice campground with great shady, mostly level spots. Utilities and cable are good. Would have rated higher except the Wi-Fi was not even usable for most of the stay. Would definitely stay here again if the Wi-Fi improves.
Nice campground with a nice view of Lake Michigan and a small rocky beach area available across the street. Spaces are not roomy, but we had adequate room. Friendly office staff and good Wi-Fi. Would stay here again.
This is a very nice campground. Some reviews state narrow roads, but they are mostly one-way and not a problem. Our site was not exactly level, but this was not a problem either. The spots on the river are very nice with covered shelters. My only real complaint is the additional charge per night for children - this is a little silly, as they do not take up any additional campground space. But in short, we would definitely stay here again.
This is a nice campground if you are just looking to use your camper as a hotel, and not looking to do "camping" activities. It is basically a parking lot with hookups: all pull-throughs and fairly level. We woke up every morning to a view of the Arch. Casino security seemed very good, just don't wander off of the casino grounds after dark.
Overall an excellent park. Our site was plenty big with plenty of shade. The WiFi was flaky, almost unusable. Parking spots are reasonably level, but the rest of the site is not necessarily (i.e., our picnic table and fire ring were about roof-high to our camper). But this is reasonable for a campground in the hills. We will definitely stay here again.
This is a very nice campground. The folks in the office were extremely friendly and helpful. The sites are plenty big and the bathhouse was clean. WiFi worked very well. We would definitely stay here again.
Very nice campground, with a very friendly staff. Our site (#129) was right on the river - absolutely beautiful. Restrooms and showers were clean, although a few of the adjusting knobs on the showers had issues. The cable was not working in our section of the park, but they plan to completely rewire this winter. Wi-Fi worked fine. Lots of Halloween activities for the kids. I will reiterate the other reviewers who have said to NOT trust your GPS to find this campground - get directions from the office!
Overall a nice campground. Staff was very friendly. Our site was terrific (D1), but others seemed a bit tighter for large rigs. My only complaint is that Wi-Fi is advertised, but it is only available in or very near the office - and I mean VERY NEAR. We had to drive up and sit in the office parking lot with our laptops - very disappointing. As internet access is a must for me, this will probably keep me from staying here again in the future.
Very nice campground with an extremely friendly staff. Sites are big enough, fire rings are in good shape with cooking grates, Wi-Fi was good and cable TV was good. Bathrooms were perhaps the cleanest I have ever seen at a campground. The pool looked very nice, although we did not use it. The kids loved the playground. We definitely plan to stay here again.
Very nice campground. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is LOTS of shade and the utilities are in good shape. Very quiet and clean. I would definitely recommend this campground and stay here again.
Bathhouse and showers were clean. Lots of shade trees. No cable TV (sure wish I would have noticed that before making reservations), and the wireless internet is pricey and includes bandwidth restrictions.
Lots of trees for shade. Bathhouse and showers were always clean. Wireless internet was a little slow and gets unplugged during thunderstorms. Overall, a very nice campground - would definitely stay here again.
A very nice park with large sites, mainly grass and sand, mostly level. WiFi and cable both worked great from site B-11. Bathrooms and showers are fairly modern and clean. Campground would have gotten a 10 from me except that we had to run the hot water in the showers for a good 3 minutes before it got hot, and the water pressure in the showers could have been better. We will definitely stay here again.
A nice campground. The bath house was relatively clean. It has a very nice pool. There are good fire rings with grates. Our site was right next to the train tracks, but the trains don't use their horns much, so it wasn't a big deal.
This is a very nice campground. The sites are all concrete, including the picnic table area. The bath house was nicer than the bathrooms in my house! The WiFi signal was strong, but got congested during peak usage. The camp store has very reasonable prices for ice, fire wood, ice cream, etc.
