The nightly rate I posted reflects a $9.95 p/ day mandatory resort fee. Although I enjoyed my stay the price is too high. Most sites were quite large and fairly level. The cable was extensive and clear. The entire resort is gated and is very secure. The pool, jacuzzi, and playground were clean and maintained. The scheduled activities were organized and entertaining for the family. The sites need to be re-graveled or grassed as the gravel was so sparse it hurt to walk on. The internet was supplied by a pay-per-day service. The wireless reception looked good throughout. For $50 a day, the internet should definitely be included. There are many trees so setting up satellite may be a chore.
This was a very clean and newer State Park. The hook ups were very modern with clean, level, large gravel pads to park and still have plenty of room for tents, canopies, etc. Every site had a large picnic table and fire ring. There was not a playground that I could find, but there were biking and hiking trails for the kids. They do sell firewood and there are a few soda machines but other than that it is come as you are as far as supplies. I tried to connect to wireless, as a previous poster stated there was, but I did not receive any signal. I received two or three channels of TV from my antenna but was glad I had brought movies. Satellite reception should be no problem as most of the trees around the sites themselves have not yet grown to heights to interfere.
Nice State Park with paved pads and plenty of trees. It appeared that all sites had campfire rings and picnic tables. It seemed as if no (2) sites were directly next to each other so it can be fairly quiet and private. I did not try satellite but it looked like reception to the sky may be obstructed by all the trees. There was firewood for sale and the kids enjoyed the 1 playground. Be aware of hook ups as some had sewer, 30 amp, and H20 while others only had 15 amp.
Mostly level, asphalt sites. Access roads easy to navigate. Cable was extensive and clear. WiFi was marginal covering about half the park closest to office. Staff friendly with small store in office. Free shuttle to the nearby Spirit Mountain casino was very prompt and accessible 24 hours a day right to your site. There were quite a few "permanent" looking trailers with lots of "stuff" piled around. Playground was not really functional. The casino provides child care at their "Play World" otherwise there would be nothing for the kids to do. Decent place to stay if visiting the casino.
Overall nice park. Pool and spa were heated and clean. There is a large outdoor heated gazebo with chairs, tables, and BBQ's for all to use upon reserving with management. Each site had a huge concrete pad, patch of grass, modern utilities including hard-wired CAT5 jack in addition to the WiFi for Internet Access, all amperage, and (2) sewer connections based on your rig's positioning. Cable had 70 clear channels and no satellite obstructions were noted. We had a small ant problem at our site and I found a few bee's drowned in our "left out" beverages. Play equipment was modern but small for the kids and not much else for them to do. No camp fire rings and most sites did not have a picnic table.
New owners are trying to improve park. They said they were re-doing the sewer tanks and they would offer them again at some point. Lake access, dock fishing was nice and boat rental reasonable. Sites are level but utilities are irregular. One site had 30 amp that I saw. One site (16) had a long extension cord to connect 15 amp to the bathroom junction box. Our site had 15 amp solely. Make sure you clarify all utilities for each site upon reservation. There was a lakeside barbeque and campfire nightly for all to enjoy. The central grassy field was great for the kids. Sites 10 through 15 had a paved patio and a patch of grass with picnic tables and fire ring.
Great, very family oriented park. Lake is big yet not too crowded. There are two large playgrounds, rooms for rent, a restaurant, store, great fishing, docks, boat rentals, activities for kids, etc. There is a fishing dock that has plush, comfortable seats built in! The "resident" bald eagle is amazing to watch. The interior road is paved and sites are gravel. Most sites have picnic tables and fire pit. If they had cable and Wifi this place would be perfect. The gravel in the sites is a real mess when damp so bring your mats. The TV reception was 1 fuzzy channel so don't forget the satellite dish or just watch the lake or their rental VHS tapes (no DVD's). The sites are fairly level. Hook ups are placed awkwardly so bring some extra length utilities. The staff can be slightly rude but were accommodating when we asked to move sites due to some renovating they were doing. The restaurant was also under renovation so I can not attest to the food, however we will return and will try it then.
This was a decent campground, small and quaint. Interior roads are very narrow as well as the sites. Decent view of bay but not much else. No real area for kids to play or ride bikes. There are no stores or restaurants close by so bring your toad or come prepared. Hook ups are convenient and modern. Cable TV was excellent with broad selection of channels. Concrete pad, little grass patch, picnic table and fire ring seem standard at most sites. WiFi is excellent (in lower half closer to office). Office has about six aluminum boats for rent at about $20 p/hour for crabbing.
Great family park with grassy field by river's edge with small play yard. The entire park was well maintained including the pool. It is a great place to watch the ships sail by from some of the front sites. There was a $4.95 charge p/day for WiFi. No privacy trees or shrubs left it feeling a little sterile. No campfires at the sites was also unfortunate.
The rabbits and their droppings were everywhere. It became old after a day or two. It is very conveniently located to an easy access beach by foot and the store and restaurant were great. The pool and gym were modern and clean. If you don't mind rabbit pellets everywhere this is a fabulous place to camp and very family friendly.
The only trash was quite far and only at the entrance to the park. The mosquitoes on the trail to the beach were bad. The sewer dump area was very busy and not real convenient. TV antenna reception was very poor. The sites were level and clean. There was a lot of grassy space for the kids to play. There was a 1.5 mile walking trail to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. I would camp there again but more prepared for the trash, sewer, and TV issues.
