Price quoted is Passport America price. Good for an overnighter only. Has some full timers that have make their sites look nice. Sites have small trees, but no shade. Prices in small store are very expensive. $5.19 for a half gallon of milk.
Big open field with long pull-throughs. As someone said, it is very rustic. There were about 20 RVs here in April, and about half were permanent, mainly in the front area as you enter the park. We stayed on the beach row ,and they let us pull in so we have a view from our rear window. We used the site next to us for hookups which you probably couldn't do in the summer time. Lot of places to walk and a nice lighthouse to visit. It has a laundry room with 3 or 4 washers and dryers. The Chart Room restaurant has the best fried shrimp and fish & chips that I ever had. Don't get the dinner, it costs $10 more and you get plenty in the basket. It is a long walk to it, better off driving. Office personnel were very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.
Stayed here 2 nights under Passport America rate. Big open area with some trees. It's is part of the local fairgrounds, so it is probably full when the fairs are in season. There is a golf course next door. The RV park is in a residential are and is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. There is no laundry facility. Will definitely stay here again.
Must be an Elks member to use. OK for an overnighter or a couple of days. Just a big lot that is used for RV storage and has parking around the exterior. Lodge is next to a golf course. Nothing was within walking distance. Would stay here again if I was passing through.
Stayed here for 4 nights under Coast To Coast. The rv park is OK for a couple of days, but nothing special. Campground staff was very friendly and helpful. The RV park is about 4 miles from the town of Desert Hot Springs that has numerous restaurants and big chain grocery stores. There is a small market and hamburger place about a block away. They close for the season on Arpil 15th. Would stay here again.
Great campground in a quiet setting for Active Duty, Reserve, Retired and DoD personnel. Centrally located about 1 mile from the town of Seal Beach and boardwalk. Nice walking path on base. Cable TV is free. Wi-Fi is very expensive - $4 per hour, $10 a day, $50 per month. Supposedly they are going to change the provider as soon as the contract runs out. There is a good Verizon signal. If arriving during normal working hours, use the gate on Westminster, the main gate on Seal Beach Blvd. is very narrow.
Nice park to stay for a couple of days. We are the only RV here so there is plenty of sites available. It is quite dark as there is no outside lights. We stayed in the lower campground by the train tracks. Trains run from about 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Most of the trains were passenger type, but some were real trains. The lower campground is rustic with trees. Sites 8 through 15 could take a big rig. Our 5th wheel is 34' and I had at least 10 feet more available. As you enter the lower campground make sure you check the bulletin board on the right. They list the sites and dates that someone has reserved them. The upper campground says that it is for reservations only. I don't know how strict they are about it. The upper campground is mainly a parking lot with some trees that have sites marked off, some of the sites are pull-throughs but not very wide. There is some traffic noise from highway. The lower campground is much better even with the train noise.
Stopped in for 2 nights under Passport America; not worth the full price. Conveniently located next to Interstate, but not noisy. A lot of permanent residents. Water faucet leaked so I had to run a hose to the next site. Bathrooms were OK, but come dark some light bulbs were out. Good Wi-Fi signal. Would stay again under Passport America, if in the area.
Arrived on Sunday early afternoon, office is closed all day on Sunday. Selected site from a list of available sites. Sites were fairly level. Most sites are being used by permanent residents. Park is located next to freeway and frontage road, very noisy. Lounge was closed because it is being used as a temporary office. Laundry room has 2 washers and 2 dryers. Could not locate bathroom and showers. Wi-Fi was available, but could not log in because I did not have the password.
