Large campground with lots of seasonal campers. We were at the end of the season. Very few campers. Our site was level and nice in an open field. The bathhouse was new, because it was destruct in Hurricane Irene along with many campsites near the water. The campground owners were very friendly and helpful. We were able to pick up DishTV. We were passing through on our way home. Wish we had more time to explore the Catskill area. We would stop here again, if in the area. Sites were well spaced.
We park on top of hill. I wouldn't suggest big rigs for upper loop. Strange setup of campsites. We arrived in dark with two RV (one 19'TT and one 31' FW). Neither sites were easy to setup in. Electric and water hookups were in wrong places, needed extra cords and hoses required to reach. No dump station or sewer hookups. You would need to used Acadia NP campground with an additional fee for park pass. Bathrooms clean, but extra charge for hot water in shower. Extra charge for big rigs, not worth it without any extra amenities, such as, hot water, dump station or sewer hookup. Staff friendly. Good location. I would not camp here again or recommend. Good views from our campsites. The campground was pretty empty due to end of season.
We stop along I-81 on way home. Friendly staff. Didn't uses the restroom, but checked them out (Clean and nice). Well stocked store. Hooking up and unhooking the camper challenging due to the hilly and narrow campsite. Wish we had change sites. Not sure why they assigned our camper to site as it was not suitable for our rig. We could hardly walk around the RV due the steep slope. Door was next to tree. Other sites were available and easier to park. Pool looked good, though we didn't use it. We would stay again for a stopover. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel Trailer.
